It could have been a lot worse and, from what she saw of the other group, it would have been had she not been with the other four. Her worries were confirmed, though, it seems Trinity had it out for her. She knew that simple rumors would not be enough. She would have a battle this year, for sure. As she moved from her seat she watched Aiden leave in a hurry. She wondered what happened, but she knew Scott was a part of that group and it would be fair to assume that he had something to do with it. However, before she could say or do anything, Mr. Lehrer grabbed their attention with a message from Elroy. Elroy, student council member, one person everyone knew from his dedicated work in said group, but she always found the boy a little odd. Nice enough guy, though. She worried about his parents. Rumors spread, of course, and even in her toxic group, she knew that talk about his parents was met with distaste. The beginning year school dance. She forgot all about it. She was so worked up about this new class and about starting a new year fresh that it slipped her mind. Would she go? Of course, she would! It was now in her best interest to get ready for the dance. Trinity would, no doubt, work hard to make sure she won the prize, even if were simply for bragging rights. Not this year, though. What better way to show the girl that she was not to be messed with than to step over her and claim the prize she consistently won. As they were let out for the day, she grabbed her books and looked at Mr. Lehrer again. She couldn't read the man and that bothered her. Almost no information on him. Was he even a teacher? Never mind that now, she had a dance to get ready for.
