He's tall and lanky, towering over many other students at an impressive height of 6'3. He carries himself with a confidence that he's earned through years of hard work and adversity. His swagger is not that of a rich young heir, but that of a boy who knows damn well that he can give as well as he gets, and isn't afraid to let people know. His presence is certainly not that of a bookish scholar, like many of his housemates. Gatsby's has found that, most people don't find him, "hot." His ex girlfriend described him as "cute" and he finds that that's how most people see him. A slender frame with little muscle definition along with baby blue eyes and shaggy blonde hair give him a boyish look. If it wasn't for his height he could easily pass as a fourth year, at least he thinks so. Gatsby's appearance is of little concern to him, and that much is evident. He rarely puts any effort into looking well dressed. His shirt is often untucked, his tie loose, and his sleeves rolled up to his elbows. His hair is kept neat through use of a quick spell, but the rest of him is rarely ever well taken care of. He simply doesn't care enough.

H O U S E:
"That would be Warren. Well let's start with the good stuff. He's loyal as all hell. If your his friend, you'd have to do a hell of a lot to get him to drop you. And god help you if you go after one of his friends. He doesn't take kindly to that. Not to mention he's incredibly smart, obviously. He's loves to learn, and there's a bit of a running joke that he's sexually attracted to books with more than a thousand pages. It's just a joke, but he does really like big books. Gatsby's also a jokester, and he loves a good prank. He has a habit of being far too honest but generally he's only trying to help. He'd never insult someone out of malice, unless he truly believed they deserved it. He's a great listener, and an even better problem solver, but he does hate when people try to tell him how to fix his own problems. A giant hypocrite when it comes to that. Now on to the bad. Gatsby is, for lack of a better term, an ass. He's arrogant and a showoff of epic proportions. He constantly thinks he's worse than everyone else so he does his best to put on a show of extravagance, excelling in his school work and his other ventures. It can be a bit of a pain to those who don't know about his insecurities. Gatsby is also an emotional mess, wearing his heart on his sleeve. He's quick to anger and overreact, although he's just as quick to forgive. His thirst for knowledge makes him a bit of a nosy little twit sometimes, and he has a habit of getting in other people's business.
R O M A N T I C I N T E R E S T S:
"Most people know, but I'm into guys and girls. He was born in the middle of winter in a small, Californian town where there were far too many people with far too much time on their hands. Elizabeth Fitzgerald was an English teacher at the local high school, and his father was a drifter. The two met, had a one night stand, and before Elizabeth even knew what was in store for her, Gatsby's father was gone. Despite this early tragedy, Elizabeth was determined not to let this define them. She raised her son to be fair, just, and kind, insistent that he never grow up to be a dead beat like his dad. She taught him how to read at an early age, and together they read the classics aloud. Their small home was filled with books, so many that some people in town whispered that Elizabeth was insane, a hoarder. This house of books was where Gatsby's magic first began to show, with books flying off shelves when he was in the midst of a particularly intense tantrum. Gatsby's letter from the Institute came as a slight shock to Elizabeth. She'd always thought of her son as different, but a wizard? That was mental! Gatsby on the other hand, was overjoyed. He immediately embarked on a quest to learn everything he could about this new world he'd been inducted into. At SWI, he was sorted into Warren, not much of a shock once he learned more about his new house. He proved himself to be a capable student, and an excellent wizard, constantly battling with his other housemates for top of his class. After six full years at SWI, the magic has yet to wear off. Gatsby is in love with the world around him and is constantly searching to learn more. He'd like to become an auror, though teaching and other professions haven't been ruled out quite yet. Really, he'd just like to enjoy his last year with his friends. In fact, few people believe her when she tells them who her father is. Her demeanor in public is quiet and reserved. She walks with her head down, and shies away from most people, almost as if she's scared of them. She tends to stand as if she's trying very hard to disappear, and failing miserably. Juliet's outward appearance in public is always one of someone who cares very much about how they look, despite how obvious it is that she'd rather not be seen. Her long, golden blonde hair is always brushed and curled, thanks to a quick spell she learned in her third year. Her uniform is always perfectly in place, and when she's not in her uniform, Juliet's outfits are very reserved. She hates being the center of attention so she dresses to make sure no one notices her. Her eyes are a blueish gray color, and many have complimented Juliet on her bright smile and infectious laugh, though she doesn't quite agree with those statements. She's fiercely opinionated and incredibly stubborn. It's her way or the high way in most cases, although in most cases, she's right. Juliet also has a deep sense of right and wrong, and is always one to stand up for what she believes in, and speak out when someone is doing something wrong, despite her shy nature. However, many of the traits that make Juliet's placement seem logical are hidden below a variety of traits that make it seem illogical. Juliet is shy and reserved for the most part, unless in the company of friends or someone who's challenging her beliefs. She's riddled with insecurities, always worried that she's doing the wrong thing, or being rude without trying to. She is a truly friendly person, she's just not that great at speaking. Perhaps Juliet's fatal flaw is her need to do what's right, even when it's dangerous to her. Despite her shy and timid nature, she's not one to sit back and watch injustice happen, and this has led to more than one detention at SWI. And while her fuse is long, the explosion that follows is massive. Juliet is not one to take offenses lightly, and you can be sure that she'll do everything in her power to take you down. An unsuspecting adversary if there ever was one. Juliet also happens to be rather naive. She's book smart, that much is certain, but her lack of great social skills means that she hasn't had a whole lot of chances to learn the subtleties of conversation, and as such she misses out on sarcasm, and is also easily manipulated. The family rose to prominence in the 1920's, when Frederick Lowell, an Irish immigrant, came to America and began selling his own type of love potion, Lowell's Bottled Lust. LBL became a hit among wizards and witches of all ages, shapes, and sizes, though a decade after it's introduction it was made illegal by the Republic of Magic. While this set back would have destroyed many wizards, Frederick simply pressed on. He used is already vast fortune to create plenty more handy potions, some more devious than others, and his family rose to prominence. His great grandson, and Juliet's father, would go on to take over the business, creating even more creative potions of all different types. A rich and handsome wizard, Juliet's father, Patrick Lowell, married an equally rich witch, Marian Kite, and the two soon had Juliet. Juliet's was raised mostly by her mother, a cold woman who had little tolerance for failure. She pushed Juliet to her limits, and it's made their relationship rather strained. Juliet's father was always quite busy, but when he was around, he groomed Juliet to take over the family business, a proposition that she doesn't exactly view as enjoyable. Her admittance to SWI came as no surprise, and she welcomed the time away from home. At SWI, she proved herself to be a capable witch, one of the better students of her year, at least in Bishop. She's garnered a few close friends, but she doesn't consider herself popular, though her name does hold quite a bit of weight with purebloods and half-bloods, and even a few muggleborns. Her future is rather uncertain now, which is one of the main reasons she's chosen to take divination. She'd really like to become a professor, but her parents are constantly pushing for her to become the next head of the family business. Decisions decisions.
