Though it can be a bad thing, people like me actually use the Status Bar productively and actually need it to see what people who are not spamming such a thing are doing. For example, I'm mainly at school when online, so Chat and Discord are both blocked for me. It's way easier than having a bunch of links open, viewing multiple profiles or having multiple PM's. Just my opinion.
