[@vietmyke]Makes sense to me; nobody would let her on without some kind of bargaining chip, and the information concerning these missions just might giver her the needed leverage. 

That also works; I assume most machines operate the same basic way, with some deviations, but she'd probably feel more comfortable operating one she was familiar with, forgoing the Coalition mobile armor crash course.
