I agree that so long as the RPing remains mostly uninterrupted, it's not a huge issue, but honestly I don't see how people having to go through a simple procedure to get accepted is going to put off too many viable members. If they're not interested enough in the site to do that, they're probably not going to be very active once they join anyway.

If this really does go on for too long without any sort of real solution, I might be able to assist with the security issues. Not personally, mind you, because I'm not computer savvy at all (like I keep telling people, I've only had access to a PC for a short time compared to many people in this era who seem basically born introduced to them), but I know some people who might be able to.
