I'm going to change it so he can no longer have sustained flight but can achieve enhanced jumping byaiming the energy at the ground. I want to stick with the pure burst idea. I also like the idea of the vents located on his joints. I'm thinking they present themselves as some sort of tubular network that manifests as holes the size of dimes on his limbs and joints. I'm kind of deriving the concussive blasts from Iron Man so I'm thinking the actual energy expelled would be a light blue/white color. I'll edit when I get out of work.
