Gargth's attack isn't unstoppable. Ya might have to drop that shield though to focus on dispelling, diverting it ---- or even returning it. 

Shadow Magic, whilst volatile and exceptionally powerful, can be manipulated like all the rest. It just requires a lot more strength do so, considering it's so powerful. 

Meanwhile, maybe someone will rush Gargth, and see how that works out for 'em! :D
