James was literally pacing back and forth in his apartment waiting for her reply. He had been up for hours since he prepared her meal and left her the note. When was she going to get up? When was she going to read it? Would he get a text message saying he was fired? Would she tell him no? If… if she enjoyed cuddling with him on more than one occasion would she really turn him down now? This was the ‘right way’ to do what they were kinda, sort of already doing. His hands were sweaty, his mouth was dry and he was sure he was breaking into a cold sweat as he was waiting for the reply. What if she said no? WHAT IF SHE SAID YES?! His phone buzzed, finally buzzed and he spring-boarded over his couch and to his phone on the coffee table. She said yes! She said yes!! He bit his bottom lip in nervousness okay, 6pm didn’t sound bad. I’ll pick you up at 6pm. Wear something comfortable but bring a jacket. I look forward to it :) With that he sent the text and went about his day, on the off chance they ended up back at his apartment for movies or something he wanted to make sure the place looked good; then again he never really had it a mess anyway but he prepared blankets, pillows and a comfortable atmosphere in his simple living room. He had a few hours to figure out something to wear. After a few hours with his sister, the last person he wanted to go shopping with; he came up with an outfit for his evening with her. Annie pushed and pushed for information and James thought that there was no reason to hide it from her. When asked where they were going, however, he did not share that information with her. He’d rather that remain a secret. At 6pm on the nose, he knocked on the door in his outfit of choice thanks to his sister.
