[@vietmyke] The idea I had is that he was a test pilot for the Fafnir, of sorts, or at least for some of the gadgets and goodies that he has fitted onto his armor, until he ended up with the Liberator- a sort of hit-and-run configuration. He then signs up with Tigres Team with said MAS. So he has some practical experience with his MAS, just not a lot. The other option is that I start with the Fafnir HMT or another basic configuration, and eventually upgrade to the Liberator from there. 

So, would you prefer if I started with the standard HMT, then upgrade up to the Liberator? Or is my test pilot idea sound enough (assuming I write it well enough) to go that route? Either way, I can find a different image to use so I can suit your interests.
