Seeing as nobody has mentioned this yet, I feel I should mention the skilled trades -- There's a deficit of tradesmen in America (which I assume you are from) because high schools enforce the idea that you need to go to college to not sell oranges on the highway and live in a ditch. As a result, there are thousands of available jobs for welders, electricians, carpenters, etc. If you've got a minute, check out this video. Mike Rowe says it better than me.

Huh, interesting (no time to watch the video, I mean what you've posted). I'm not from America myself (I'm Australian), so I couldn't really have known this unless I'd gone actually looking it up for some reason. Definitely good to know there's more job availability for you guys than there is in this country. A lot of people here end up having to leave this place for work.
