[@Ewin Rysell] in Xi'an all of the warriors are demons, who out rank humans. Since they recognize the knights as honorable warriors they sit at the same level as the lowest level of demon on the social ladder. 

Since Ragnor is not a demon, or a warrior, or a high ranking official in Xi'an he is actually considered below Tyron in rank.
