[@RoflsMazoy] Name: Adrian Goodguard Age: 17 Appearance:

History: For the longest time, Goodguard stood next to the great house of Dragonfang. The house was composed of mighty knights and warriors that came to the northern mountains with their people and settled there. However, while the valleys were rich in soil and the mountains wealthy in gold and other metals, it was also infested by wyverns, dragons and other flying monsters that called the peaks their home. For generations, these warriors fought side by side to rid their valley from those threats. Eventually uniting in the mighty Dragonfang family. But Adrian is a Goodguard, not a Dragonfang. The Goodguards are a lesser family, sworn featly to the Dragonfangs. For generations they fought alongside the Dragonfangs, but as common soldiers and knights. While there are many stories about the Goodguards, they are all made in service of the Dragonfangs. Even now, in times of peace, the Goodguards remain trustworthy servants. Becoming bodyguards, scribes or, indeed, smiths for the mighty house. From his birth, Adrian was destined for greatness. But not personal greatness. He would serve greatness instead. As he grew older, it became apparent that his great-grandfather, Aurelius, was dying. He could no longer work the Dragonfang forge on his own, so it became Adrian’s destiny to help the old man. From that point his fate would be to forge the weapons of mighty slayers and powerful statesmen alike. But Aurelius died too soon. His knowledge was too vast and Adrian could not learn fast enough. Without a master he was sent to the Seishun Academy of Swords. To continue his education to the point that he would be useful and worthy to serve the Dragonfangs. Personality: Adrian is a hard worker. Days in, days out he can be found at the forge. Manning the bellows or fighting with the flames. Days turn into nights and turn into day again before he leaves the forge and the anvil. He fights with himself and everyone around him for superiority in his blades. Wrestling with metal has become an obsession for him. However, this is rooted in a deep form of shame. He was not fast enough and not good enough to learn from the good master Aurelius. Thus now, in his shame the Dragonfang Forge back home is extinguished. Only a small fire of the once might dragon flame is kept lit for until his return. This shame has pushed him to take increasingly more drastic actions. He pushes himself to the point that he researches ways of forging and imbuing magic into metal that should best be left alone. However, towards others he is not a dark or broody person. Quite the opposite, no matter your goal he will fully support you in it. At the forge he will gladly offer his help if he thinks you need it. Or in the library, he will most certainly try helping you to find the right book, scroll or note. He is, however, most certainly not laid back. Specialty: While it often takes a long time to make them, his swords are generally both beautiful and of a high quality. It is clear that the good master Aurelius’ magical affinity flows freely through Adrian. As he can produce multiple ways of imbuing the swords with magic (using crystals, gems, runes, he keeps on researching new ways). However, his fondness mostly goes out towards bastard swords and great swords.
