She went to the store to buy her items. She had to scour the mall, and even the costume shop, to find what she needed, but in the end, she managed to find everything. Money was no object, after all. She also asked the help of the resident electronics expert to make the effects both safe and reliable. In the end, the product was well worth it. How many people could say that have a wearable billboard on their body. The dress depicted whatever she uploaded to the program installed. It was a short number that was low-cut (if it helped get her points, she would do it). The program was installed on the inside bottom of her dress. She did her hair up with short electrical cables. She wore black hose and black high heels near to the point of danger, but short enough to dance in. She chose a few images on her computer and uploaded them to her dress design. She started off with a simple design, an all red number with some glitter, before she stepped out to get to the dance. Her electrical friend offered to give her a ride, provided he was allowed to stay for the event. She gave her ok and the two made their way. She met her "friends" outside of the dance. They were gathered in various heaps. The jock guys wore simple costumes, one decided that to be outrageous he would make a "fake boner" in his sport pants and wore a wife beater shirt. Some other guys wore their football attire to it. The girls, at least, made more of an effort, but none that really stood out. Trinity, though, was there in her get up. She decided to be outrageous she would wear literal dollar bills in the form of a dress. She also dyed strips of her hair white. It was impressive, perhaps she thought she could bribe her way to victory. Trinity gave her the once over before she sneered, whispered something probably hateful to another girl, and walked over to her. "Oh Winter ,sweetie. It's supposed to be the lunatic dance. That dress, while lovely, just isn't good enough." She offered fake sympathy that Winter met with a smile, "Just you wait Trinity, the night has only just begun." She walked off inside, despite Trinity's gasps. The others followed suit, partially to get inside to actually see the dance, but also because they were curious as to what her plans were. Once inside, Winter looked around. She saw familiar faces, Sebastian against the wall, being the typical loner, Tavia was talking to Kenneth. Tavia's dress was really well done, it never crossed her mind to consider her a rival. Anyone that could dethrone Trinity though was good in her eyes. She met some glances with smiles, especially those she had in her Social Conscience class. However, the dance was severely lacking. The DJ was putting on music, but hardly anyone was getting down, save for a few people. She decided now was the perfect time to unleash her own costume. She walked up to the DJ and asked for the microphone. He looked at her like she had three heads, but she promised him it would be worth it. He was to play the danciest beat he had at her cue. She walked up, took the remote for her dress in hand, and tapped the microphone, Mather Memorial High School. What is this? This is a school dance. We need to see some energy in here! At that, she pressed the button and her dress turned off. Showing an all black number. She looked over to Trinity whose eyes widened. She continued, "Now, I see some great costumes out there. Like Tavia, you go girl! And Trinity..well...Trinity tried to be original. Let's give her a round of applause everyone!" She started clapping and a few others followed suit, but she pressed a button and her dress turned back on to an image of an audience letting out a riotous applause. Sound included. The others that clapped quickly stopped. She pressed on, "Now, it's a dance, so I say, let's dance! She waved at the DJ who turned the music on blast. She pressed a button again and her dance lit up with multi-colored lights that spun around. She moved to the dance floor and began dancing along to the beat. She waved some others over to join her, a few girls ran up to dance and the jocks did the shuffle. She eyed Trinity, whose glare would have killed her if she let it, but it didn't matter. She felt she finally overshadowed the Queen Bee. Even if she didn't win, she knew Trinity would remember this day. And heck, she got people dancing and enjoying the night. She was sure even Mr. Lehrer was wowed by her costume. She had a few more images to get through (one, especially, if she won). She would have to thank her electronics friend later.
