Lariah Marine
What could you honestly say when you'd watched a girl get torn to pieces, watched the light leave her eyes and watched her movements cease? Lariah had... never really encountered death before. It wasn't a common topic in her household, nor was it something she would bring up regularly. And to see it, live, right in front of her unblinking eyes... it was something that chilled her to her core. On top of the announcement by that mysterious woman and the attack of the Grimm upon Vale, it formed a nauseating cocktail of emotions that swirled around inside of her, unsettling her and making her stomach churn. It was like feeling the ocean in a storm inside of her... she couldn't help but place a hand on her stomach for how it felt. The silence in the ship above Vale was broken by some of her fellow students, checking up on each other. Even in these dark times, they were at least finding ways to speak up and continue to hold on to hope. Lariah remembered that... in times like this, now was not the time to be feeling sorry for themselves. Getting over the idea of death going on right in front of her was it's own matter... but right now, they had to remember their training and remember who they were. Hunters. In training, but still hunters. They had to act like hunters. She took a deep breath and let it out, gripping her knees slightly as she steadied herself. "Guys?" Lariah looked toward her team, to Basil, to Jaden and to Scarlett. Scarlett especially... something in Lariah's heart told her she would be feeling the worst of this. "We've got to be strong. We need to remember who we are. We're hunters, and no terrible situation like this can get the best of us, right?" Ok so it might not have been her best rally ever, but she was trying...
