Amaya is the most adorable thing on the planet. 

Plus I can factor in her year of adventures with having met Arthur as his dragon is sealed in his sword and has a connection with Aurora. I don't know if you already expanded on it but i notice that just "I give you my word" is enough to get Amaya to trust you. It could be a thing Arthur would say to her and it reminds her of him. Just has never spoken on it as its assumed her and Gilthunder had passed away until he shows up now looking for her.
