[@Fizzy] Yeah, he's dead. His body's clothes are still on fire and his skin is mostly charred where he wasn't covered up. 
The best way I would describe it is that if you actually touch his skin, it would probably melt off. Like when you burn a marshmallow over a fire and it's still soft and gooey underneath.
