(A quick tidbit: I am intending this RP to be set in the Marvel Universe. By that I simply mean the superheroes we have seen in the movies and comics will be mentioned but they will NOT be the focus on this RP. This RP is just set to be in that universe. The real heroes and heroins are the characters you the players will bring to life. With that being said...)

"What do you mean you want to try again?" The gruff voice questioned inquisitively. The young man before the much man cowered for a few seconds before coughing awkwardly and regaining his composure. He stood attentively at almost as if he were at attention. But this was no standard military organization. It was a military organization, but not like one would usually think. 
"As my head of this facility and of its operations you are my right hand man. I picked you solely on your beliefs and your work ethic. You have an impressive track record and yet... you come to me spouting these words and you cannot even back them up? Please, go on before I have you escorted out of here. How embarrassing it would be for you to be seen escorted out am I right? I mean one would thi-..." 

"We face a threat unlike we have ever seen!" The younger voice boomed to the older man. The older man was silenced and all he could do was lean forward. Normally, if the younger man was any other officer he would have been punished on the spot. A very harsh punishment. But the older man leaned forward in his chair even more and eventually stood up. He tapped a few buttons on the computer into his desk and a large number of pictures of the various enemies Earth has encountered over the many years.
The older man pointed to them and gave the younger man a harsh cold stare as he slowly walked over to the younger man. 
The old man had a cane to help him walk as he was a man of age.

"A threat we have not seen? Please, enlighten me. We have faced military coups. Standard human enemies with a leader bent on power. We have combated Alien invasions and we have made contact with Alien worlds. We have faced entities hell bent on our destruction through forces beyond our comprehension and we have only won against them. We are stronger because of every victory. With our human intuition and the strength of our many supernatural and special allies."
The old man was circling around the young man. The younger lad now his fists balled up and his rage was clearly seen. 
"So you think we need them now more than ever? Can Earth not have a moment of peace? For just... ten years or so? What new threat are we facing?"

Before the old man could react the younger man's eyes started to glow and he placed his palm on the old man's forehead. The young man was showing his superior what their world would become. In a year or two. 
The world the two saw was their own. But not how they wanted to see it. The cities they once knew were constructed in different ways. Rubble still lined the streets. Its citizens were in chains or dead. 
With an enemy still shrouded in fog standing above them. With one leader to rule them. 
The leader looked to just be a regular human. But soon, the fog cleared and it showed his face. A sinister smile peered back at them as he raised his hand and dark magics corrupted the vision before ending it. 
Both men gasped for air as the vision was abruptly ended.
"Do you see now? My visions do not lie, Commander! I have seen what is coming to Earth and these thoughts gnaw at my very mind every single day. But we can prevent this! As we have always prevented it! I have seen visions of great warriors who will stand up to this enemy. We must recruit them and train them! They posses powers and special abilities just like the many heroes and heroins our brother organization has recruited before!"

The old man held up a hand to silence the younger man. "You are suggested we create another S.H.I.E.L.D? Our brother organization tried this and it did not go so well." 
The younger man now held up his hand. He reached down and grasped the briefcase he had placed on the floor. "The ones we will recruit are not mere agents. They are men, women. Young and old who posses great powers. Magical properties. Mutant abilities. We all know we do not live in a normal world anymore. We met the son of Odin for crying out loud!"
The older man nodded and started to mull his thoughts over. 

The young man grabbed his arm and held the briefcase in his other hand. "Please, Commander. I will lead them. I will find them. By whatever means. They must be grouped together. In my visions. I have seen only one. But... his fate is shrouded in fog. But he is alive and he is just now learning of his powers. Which are... strange to say the least. But they are powerful. And the enemy wants his powers. For he is unaware that his powers hold the key to their victory. And in the visions I have now, with us doing nothing and leaving him to fend for himself... the enemy wins. We cannot let this happen. I have their files of the ones we wish to recruit. We have given this serious thought but we are running out of time. Please look them over." 

The briefcase was place on the man's desk and the man started to flip through the files. Each page he turned he nodded and eventually he looked back up to the man. "What you are trying to put together is a suicide squad. One that I will not stand for, nor have in my facility under my command."

"THEY." The man calmed himself down before speaking again. "My squad will not be some suicide squad. These people are good people. Just misunderstood because of their powers. I want to help them fit in as well as help them save our world. So please... give me the green light to find them."

The older man grunted a bit as he sat down in his chair. He folded his arms over his chest and after a few minutes of silence he gave a solemn nod to the man. "Find them. Build them up. I trust you and know that you will do the right thing. You have the go ahead."
With that the young man gave himself a mental high five before scurrying out of the office. One could hear the frantic running as the whole building knew of the go ahead to find the team to combat the coming enemy. 
The older man sat in silence as he twisted his wedding ring on his finger. He only hoped his young agent was right in this. For that vision was something he did not want to see again.

Hello! Thank you so much for getting this far if you did! By the title this RP is going to be set in the Marvel Universe with the idea of superheros and aliens and different worlds and all that. 
This was recently inspired because I saw Dr. Strange the other day (amazing movie) and I have also had the idea floating around in my head for some time now. 

But, this RP is going to focus on one marvel character. Mainly Thor and the realm he came from. But he will only make appearances and not long ones. 
The main point of this RP is for YOU the players to create your own unique hero to ultimately save the Earth in the end. Think old Spiderman just learning of his new spider powers. And then becoming the badass superhero. That is what I hope to have happen with your characters but the end battle will be a lot like the end of Marvel's Avengers most likely. 

Your character can have any power you can imagine. Magic is perfectly acceptable but nothing too powerful. However, one can achieve great strength as a magic user. Or, one can be a savant with the bow like Hawkeye. The power is up to you! Just know that in the beginning of the RP your character will be trying to really make their powers work and figure out how they use them.

I understand that this is just a straight forward kind of post but I just wanted to get the idea out there and then if this gets enough interest I will move on and make this into an actual RP! 
I am hoping for at least four or just three other players. I will be playing the young leader in charge of all of you (I say in charge but that just means your squad leader and general question answering person).
While I will also be playing key characters and the villain.
