Droid Disable: Through his work in creating various works of art he has learnt this ability. Able to use the Force to manipulate small pieces of technology he is capable of interacting with technology, such as shutting down droids and locks.
Crucitorn: Not all art is meant to be seen, some is meant to be heard or felt. The ability to alter one's own or anothers senses is a valuable asset for an Artisan. A fortunate side effect is that when in pain it can be dialed down and replaced with another sense.
Force Revitalize: Sometimes inspiration takes time, during prolonged bouts of meditation he can keep his body maintained with the Force so that he doesn’t need to take breaks for food or sleep for longer than usual.
Plant Surge: An ability Koren is still trying to get to grips with, able to connect with plants in the same way a Jedi does with all living things Koren can shape the growth or increase the growth of plants. However it is draining and takes a lot of time.
Skills:

Trained in Form I, however is most proficient at Form II Makashi due to his appreciation of the artistic style of the form.
Architect, while he is by no means an engineer or technician he has a unique outlook and training when observing things that helps him make something both good looking and functional.
Equipment:

1x Interlocking Lightsaber with blue blades.
Standard Jedi Robes
Standard Jedi Communicator
Bag full of paper designs
Combination of odd electrical/mechanical pieces that don’t really fit together.
Strengths:

Centered: He is calm, and collected. He knows where is centre is and this allows him to keep himself in the light and away from unbalance. He’s able to meditate in even the most stressful of situations.
Architect: While this is a skill, it is also a strength. He can analyze structures to determine their strengths and weaknesses
Faith in the Jedi Code: Faith is a powerful thing, Koren has faith both in the Jedi Code and in what he is doing is right. Making it hard to sway him from his high moral centre.
People Person: He’s good with people, particularly other Jedi.
Focus: Once he has a target, he devotes all of his time and effort to it until the task is done.
Weaknesses:

Combat Inexperience: He has been in one fight with a Sith before. While he has dueled with other Jedi and against training droids he has no real experience in the field of combat.
Cybernetic left leg: In is one fight against the Sith and the attack on Illum he lost his left leg. While he has a cybernetic replacement like many amputees he has issues with pain, and phantom feelings where his real leg used to be.
Lack of Faith in the Republic: While he has unshakable faith in the Jedi Code, and the tenants on which the Republic stands, he himself does not like what the Republic is becoming as the war goes on.
Confusion on the Jedi: War brings out the worst in people, this includes the Jedi. His faith in the code remains he worries what the war is doing to the Jedi.
Cold: While not as severe as PTSD, cold temperatures or objects that remind him of Illum can give him severe anxiety issues.
Biography: Early Years Koren was born in Crevasse City on Alderaan, his father a miner in one of the few operating miners on Alderaan and his mother was a teacher at Crevasse City Collegium for Young Ladies, however he would never get to the point where he would know them well enough to know this. Being on a Core World the Jedi quickly discovered the latent force ability within Koren, his parents being ‘patriotic’ citizens were willing to give Koren over to the order, however worried about their son and what he might face in the line of duty. On learning that he was to be trained on Coruscant they agreed, knowing that Coruscant was one of the safest planets in the Galaxy, and the oldest known Jedi Temple. Feeling that due to this he’d get the best training and then less likely to be hurt or killed in the line of duty his parents agreed and he was shipped off to Coruscant while he was still learning how to walk and talk. Meaning like most Jedi he didn’t truly miss his parents, as he never really knew them. His life within the Jedi Order began. Jedi Initiate Koren went to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant, arriving before his third birthday, being placed within the Thranta Clan at the temple. His first couple of years were simple, learning the code and the basics of being functional members not just in the Jedi Order but in the Galaxy in learning how to speak, read, write and basic mathematics. When he was old enough the clan began to practice in meditation in order to hone their control in the Force, it was during this time that Koren began to become interested in control of the Force. He couldn’t quite explain the feelings but it was so beautiful and complicated that he spent the few rare moments meditating in order to gain control and his centre. As the war pushed on between the returned Sith Empire and the Republic and their Jedi protectors Korens training continued, while the initiate training remained the same: History of the Republic, Lightsaber Combat, Meditation, Control of the Force and more there was an obvious shift in the Jedi Temple. As the war pushed on and a resolution didn’t seem to get closer a young Koren could feel the change in the temple. When the test came in the construction of his lightsaber Koren spent more time than others, while many wanted to hold their lightsaber in their hands for the first time he himself wanted to make sure that the weapon was perfect as it was to be an extension of himself, for the rest of his life. Jedi Padawan After passing the initiate trials Koren was taken on by a Jedi by the name of Chachi Bane an Artisan at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant, the very Duros who had taught him how to build a lightsaber. Chachi recognised the the look in the eye that Koren had as that what he had when he was a youngling during the trials. Koren saw the art in life, and the Force and what it could be if he focused on it hard enough. As such while many of the friends he had made while an Initiate travelled outwith the Temple into the depths of the Galaxy, to either fight against smugglers or the forces of the Sith, Koren remained at the Jedi Temple at Coruscant in his studies. Though Chachi didn’t immediately allow him to hop into the world of an Artisan. Much of Korens time was spent on mastering his control, Chachi told him that without a firm grasp of himself and his center then his ability to create art, with aid of the Force wouldn’t be at it’s best. That the role of an Artisan wasn’t simply about creation it was about understanding. At age fifteen Koren was allowed to supervise his master in the creation of a Jedi Holocron for an old friend of his master, Worror a historian in the Jedi Order. The intrinsic beauty and power of such a small object astounded a young Koren, and he told himself that one day he would create items of such peace, power, beauty and knowledge. Though he knew full well that he had years to go until he would be able to reach that level of control. As the war continued to rage on Chachi realized that the little training he had offered his padawan in terms of lightsaber combat wouldn’t be enough, and as such had Koren head to the training areas of the temple in order to hone is skills in lightsaber combat. Enjoying the elegance of the form he decided to study Makashi, seeing the skill in the form and the way the moves flowed as if in a dance with an opponent. He continued to train both with his lightsaber and with his mind, as time progressed Chachi gave him more and more responsibility. Eventually it would come to pass that Koren would teach younglings in the construction of their very first lightsaber, the way Chachi had once trained him. This expertise lead him and his master and took them to Illum, a planet known solely to the Jedi as they had never alerted the Republic to it’s existence. Once on Illum Koren continued his work in helping Younglings, present for the gathering, build their lightsabers. It was a peaceful and simple life, his master looking over his shoulder less and less as time went on. Koren began to work on design and construction of the temples as expansions were made as the Illum temples gained more and more importance within the order. On his twenty second year of life disaster struck, the Sith somehow discovering the location of Illum attacked in force. Koren had been within the deep caverns that were scattered throughout the planet when they struck, the weapons fire from the ships in orbit destabilized the tunnel he was in causing it to collapse, both knocking him out and crushing his left kneecap. Trials of Knighthood Traditionally the Trials of Knighthood (Which include the Trial of Skill, Courage, Flesh, Spirit and Insight) are done within the Hall of Knighthood though in some cases Padawans who have been through extensive trauma are given the rank of Jedi Knight, able to forgo the more traditional method of becoming a Jedi Knight. As Koren awoke in the frozen tunnels beneath the surface of Illum his trial of flesh began as his broken knee pained him and the cold bit at him Koren forced himself into a meditative trance. He was groggy from the head wound, though more importantly he was confused as to what was going on. Refusing to activate his communicator until he had a firmer grasp on the situation. Using what his master taught him Koren dulled down the pain he was feeling, redirecting his focus towards his hearing as he sat meditating in the cold. Though the temperature no longer bit at him like it had before, instead he was at peace. There was more to this cave in than met the eye, when the cave had first shook it had been day but from his chronometer it was now night, there was no way Chachi would not have come searching for him before then and he could not sense his master. Stretching out his feelings as far as they could go he saw through the problem, completing the trial of insight as he detected the presence of the Sith. As he sat there meditating trying to decide where to go next, he heard a sad song resonate through the Force. Similar to that he had heard when he had first sought out a crystal for his lightsaber, this one was different but no less unique. Lacking a real plan of action Koren decided to follow the sound to it’s source, a large cavern. In the centre he could see the crystal calling out to him, intrigued he went towards it. The Force worked in rare and mysterious ways, he had been taught that since he was a child so he didn't question what it told him now. As he approached the crystal he stretched his hand to reach it, however as he did the floor below him collapsed and he fell into a deep cavern where he faced his trial of spirit. To this day Koren, like many others, refuses to comment on what he had to go through to climb out of the pit and he himself doesn’t know if the pit was even real or a manifestation of the Force, all he knows is that when he emerged he was exhausted. On retrieving the crystal he still had two trials to go, limping through the caverns he found himself at a secluded exit with a view of the landing pad. On it were Imperials guarding an Imperial Shuttle. No doubt in case a Jedi had managed to survive, as he had. Knowing that he would be unable to hold against the cold for long, nor keep the pain at bay forever he had no choice but to go on the offensive. With the faith that his masters training would keep him alive. Once on the platform he ignited his blue blade, defeating the Imperials on the platform with relative ease. However it turned out a Sith had sensed his presence while he had been seeking for answers on what had been going on, the ambitious acolyte had waited at the shuttle for him to appear. A fight ensued, testing Korens limits as he struggled with his wounded leg, in the end the fact both combatants were inexperienced was the sole reason he survived that day. Though in a final act of defiance the Sith he had left lying on the ground in the cargo hold of the shuttle called his blade to his hand and cut Korens lower left leg off, Koren retorted by removing the Siths hands before dragging himself into the cockpit. He barely managed to have the ship enter hyperspace before darkness engulfed him from a mixture of pain, extreme exhaustion and his body trying to preserve itself. He woke up weeks later in a kolto tank his left leg removed to above the knee, the doctors unable to save the knee had felt it wiser to start the prosthetic higher. After months of rehabilitation and being given a cybernetic leg, Koren returned to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant where he received the rank of Jedi Knight. Jedi Knight For a short period of time Koren remained isolated from the order, spending most of his times in the gardens of the Jedi Temple. While his body had healed he felt that he needed to take the time to heal his mind, it was during one of his many meditations here where he stretched out and felt the connection of a plant. He had always seen the beauty in life, and the Force which was why he chose the field of study that he had. Though never before had he felt so close to plant life, testing the connection he felt that it thirsted for nutrients from the soil, water and sunlight to grow strong. Over time he found that he could slowly manipulate the plant life, though to this day while he knows of masters who can have a plant envelop an enemy he himself is barely skilled enough to cause them to grow as rapidly. After this revelation he felt his connection to the Force had become stronger than ever, and that he was ready to take on whatever challenges faced him. He returned to his prior role in the temple, where he would help younglings and knights create lightsabers, both those of simple functionality and ornate designs. It was during one of these classes that he felt his second crystal call out to him, placing it on the table on front of him he entered a meditative stance. When he opened it he found his original lightsaber gone, and replaced with an ornate interlocking lightsaber. Confused he picked it up, as he had never wielded such a weapon. He didn’t question it, after all being the will of the Force. It was a thing of beauty though he still couldn’t fathom why the Force had guided him to create such an object, so instead decided not to question it. Keeping both lightsabers on him at all times. As the war came towards the peace treaty Korens powers had grown to the point that his masters old friend, Worror asked him to forge his first holocron. Knowing how, but having never done it before Koren was slightly apprehensive, this is where he was when the Sith attacked. Relations: (W.I.P)

Xid Terrick - He first met Xid as a youngling. Helping him understand how to build a lightsaber, and understand the components and how they go together using the Force.
Nazca - Nazca is a complicated case. Brought into the Jedi Order at an older age than most younglings were traditionally brought in. They met through meditative studies until later the council felt that Koren would be a good master for the struggling young Jedi. This was a recent decision and he hasn't had much time to work with her yet.
Chachi Bane (dec) - Had Koren been awake at the time of his masters death, like most Jedi he would likely have felt it. Koren has nothing but undying respect for his former master, but does not feel sorrow at his death. Knowing that he has become one with the Force.
Worror - Worror is a Jedi Historian, a good friend of Korens master Chachi but also has become a good friend of Koren. After Chachi was killed at Illum, while Koren was a Jedi Knight, Worror kept an eye on Koren and helped him whenever he needed it.
Sish - Sish was the Sith that captured Koren during the sacking. He has obvious distaste for the Sith, but that said Koren isn't one to think anyone is above redemption.
Likeable traits: He'll get along with anyone who, like him, has a strong sense of the right morals. Follows the code and accepts the Force for what it is, as an all powerful entity rather than just a tool. He disproves of those who will do whatever it takes to get the job done, as he feels that that is a slippery slope to the dark side. While he himself is not wanting to get in a relationship, he accepts that it makes some people whole and as long as the Jedi in question are able to remain true to the code then he has no problem with them.
Torture: Depending on the torture Koren will be able to endure, especially physical pain through the use of Crucitorn. This includes physical damage or damage through the use of other factors such as electricity and heat. That said as mentioned elsewhere cold temperatures can cause him to have an anxiety attack, which can have negative effects on his control. He's strong in his convictions which means mental torture (personal) won't be easy as he will keep his fears to himself and stay true to his beliefs. Despite this the typical Jedi honour of someone else being hurt will get to him, and wear him down. As mentioned above Cold Temperatures can unnerve him and with the right stimuli can result in an anxiety attack. Limits: I'd like him not to die, but I'm willing to go with the flow and the story. Aim: My aim for Koren is to have him act as a morale centre of the group. He has no problems with the Jedi Code and the place of the Jedi in the galaxy, nor does he have problems with the light side of the Force and the way everything flows from it in what he calls ‘the art of life’. He’s going to be the one to try and keep the Jedi focused on the light throughout their captivity, reminding them of the code and what they fight for. Even from the very start, with those who are more liberal in their interpretation of the Jedi Code. Secrets:
The lightsaber, interlocking. Has several points. 1) It's symbolic of how unprepared he is in the war, hence his surprise and initial confusing at the weapon and not quite understanding that it's interlocking (initially). Having just went with the 'flow' of the Force in it's creation. It's a weapon of war, and he isn't a warrior. 2) It is also symbolic of his upcoming trial as a Jedi Knight with a Padawan. Two individuals who can become stronger as one.
