Name: Melchior Siegenhausen Species: Human Age: 26 Gender: Male Faction: Sith Empire Rank: Apprentice Master: Former master(s): Instructor Luden
Concerning you

You are a Sith, but not every sith looks the same. Describe what you look like.
I stand proudly at the height of 5’8, broad shouldered but somewhat lean and skinny when compared to most other people. I keep my hair short and slicked back in order to keep it neat, professional looking and somewhat out of the way. I keep my face clean shaven at all times due to the sad discovery that my facial hair always grows in far to patchy to actually grow into a proper beard…I confess that it annoys me a great deal. Unlike most I actually favor wearing glasses; While I can use the force to see normally, I feel that glasses suit me. My skin is a pale white due to genetics and assisted by the fact that I have spent the last decade or so studying both the mysteries of the force and learning about the fascinating workings of the bodies of quite a large number of species. My fingers a somewhat longer and bonery then most I have noticed, but all the better to hold a scalpel with. There is something to be said about being approachable and professional looking... After all, if the victim doesn't know you're a sith, how can they expect to have to have to protect themselves from the force?
A Sith knows the ways of the Force. How do you prefer to use it?
Force Healing: All the better to keep the patient alive if something unexpected happens or to aid in recovery. Detoxify Poison: A useful ability that can save lives… through some might wish it didn’t. Force Stasis: Sometimes it is useful that the patient cannot move. Crucitorn: Useful to both heal and harm, depending on my mood at the time. Sith Alchemy: I confess I have only started to dabble in the field of Sith Alchemy, but some of the concoctions I have already been able to create… A part of me wishes I had started sooner.
All obstacles have to be removed or overcome, so what skills do you possess to aid you?
I confess that my talents do not lie in brute force or outright combat; The Empire has enough fighters already. My talents tend to lay in ensuring that those proud, mighty solders of the Emperor survive the injuries and wounds they suffer to push his agenda to whatever end it might be. I am also one of the few individuals who is suited for the task of having a quiet word with people of importance in order to get them to speak of subjects they would rather not… or consider ideas that under normal circumstances would be unthinkable.
Everyone has a past. What brought you here and what challenges did you have overcome to reach your current situation?
Oh where to begin. The Empire found my home system when I was very young and gave it purpose and a chance for greatness that would have been thrown into the mud by the corrupt, weak minded fools of the Republic if they had been allowed to continue their oversight of it. When I was growing up I wished to follow in my father's footsteps as a surgeon; He was a highly respected member of the community and our family wanted for nothing and I feeling admit that I wanted the same… Alas, I had a much grander future. When I was in my early teenage years, my connection to the force and my ability to use it revealed itself and of course I was sent to be trained as a member of the Sith. It was an enlightening experience to say the last as my teachers revealed to me (often grudgingly) the secrets of the force one by one. It was as if my eyes had been closed my whole life and only now could I start to see just how much there really was to grasp and learn. While my ‘peers’ favored the flashy and the destructive, my desire to become a surgeon lead to discover the many wonderful ways that flesh and bone could be shaped and molded to heal or to harm. I quickly took to the teachings of Instructor Luden, my teacher in torture and intelligence gathering and I confess that I spent many an afternoon fondly discussing possibly methods to break the minds of even the most strong willed of Jedi in his office with him over tea. I believe I must have been one of his favored students, because he managed to pull some strings and enroll me at one of the finest medical schools in Capital City for the express purpose of learning how to be a surgeon rather than be sent to fight on some front. Officially it was to further my education of not just the human and sith bodies but also a basic understanding of the bodies of the countless races of the galaxy that served both as slave labor for the Empire and puppets of the Republic. After several years of study of both the force and surgery, I graduated at the top of my class. A masterless apprentice, I have been sent to provide my services to Darth Nyiss for the time being.
We all learn about lightsaber combat, so what form(s) and skills in fighting have you found reasonable to learn?
Well of course one has to learn Shii-Cho, if for no other reason than failing to learn it results in death, but I find Makashi to be deeply satisfying to use and practice.
How do you relate to the other characters and how do you see them?
There is nothing wrong with being cordial with my social peers in the Empire; Foolishly butting heads is a quick way to lack allies and have your body discovered in a ditch somewhere. Those who are my betters should be treated with the respect that they are due while those beneath me should be treated with a degree of cautious indifference; Treating them poorly would only paint a target on your back when they try to ascend the social ladder and treating them kindly would only encourage the same. While a non force sensitive imperial citizen might not have the same power or potential as their Sith masters, they should be treated with the respect that they are due for their actions and behavior; All strive to be better after all and while there is a limit to how far these men and women can go there is no harm in encouraging them to be the best they can be. Republicans are so misguided; They have been nurtured by the Jedi Order long past the point where corruption and stagnation should have caused the system to collapse and die on its own in order to make room for something new to emerge from the fertile wreckage. They will learn in time. The Jedi Order. One cannot hate the Jedi when they are just so… pitiful. Their beliefs in balance encourage little more than spiritual death, afraid of the very emotions that give life meaning and causing all governments who heed their honeyed lies to stagnate and rot from the inside out. Those who can be made to see the insanity of their orders dogma should be saved while those zealots who refuse to see the truth should be burned like the leeches of the galaxy that they are.
Out of Character

How powerful is (s)he in the Force?
Melchior has a great deal of potential in the force and is likely to only get stronger now that his attention is fully on his training as a Sith. He does tend to fly a little under the radar however due to the fact that many of his abilities are not combat focused.
Has your character encountered members of the other factions before?
During his training as an inquisitor, Melchior has encountered several prisoners/test subjects from the Republic. While he has yet to actually practice on a jedi, he is rather excited for the opportunity to do so.
What is your character’s personality like? What motivates him/her?
Melchior is vain, self confident in his abilities, charming and a fascist. He believes in the ideals and values of the Empire and feels that an Imperial victory of the galaxy is only a matter of time when pit against the Republic due to the corrupt and divisive nature of democracy. Part of Melchior’s fascination with the human body (and indeed, the bodies of most alien races) is the fact that he is a supporter of eugenics; However, unlike many who believe in racial superiority wishes to scientifically prove that Humans and Sith are biologically and force wise better when compared to other races via (many would claim unethical) case studies on unwilling test subjects. The pain and suffering of others means little to him. Those who speak to him will quickly discover that he is a member of the social high class, the kind of person who can mingle with the nobility of the Empire (and quite a few other noble circles) rather easily.
Nobody with any sort of wisdom wants to speak of their flaws. Especially not to their enemies, so what are your character’s flaws?
Melchior is not a combat focused Sith; He can defend himself if the situation calls for it but if he was called upon to duel a jedi or sith that has dedicated themselves purely to the art of combat he would lose unless he somehow managed to undermine them enough to get the upper hand.
Sith tend to be loners who don’t seek to interact with other Sith except when it is business. What will cause your character to initiate interactions with the other Sith?
Melchior is surprisingly quite social for a member of the Sith, though he isn’t a stupid about it; He will attempt to foster feelings of goodwill amongst his peers when it doesn’t cost him anything but he will not push the subject if it is clear that trying to do so will either make him an enemy or cost him something too important to his standing.
Do you have any limits as to what is “ok” to happen to your character?
I would rather he not be raped. Other then that it wouldn’t be fair if he couldn’t take what he is prepared to dish out.
How would your character go about trying to turn Jedi?
A mixture of horrific pain, creating doubts and undermining everything that they believe in. The exact method of going about it will depend largely on the person Melchior plans to work on.
The Jedi can take prisoners too. Is your character eligible for captivity?
Yes; Melchior isn’t about to risk his death over a point of pride if it is clear that he is beaten. As long as one is living, a reversal of fortunes is always possible.
What ideas would you like to try or accomplish with your PC in the IC?
Torture. Eugenics and the force. What makes a man a monster.
Does your character have any secrets useful for the GMs’ plots?
(Send in PM)
