Everyone was let go by said Pagans, receiving a mission and a down payment in the process. 

1000 caps to find out who is targeting the Pagens guys, with a finger being pointed at Donna Lazari and her group. There were also promises of a further 1000 caps to those who return. Those who take the caps and run, or fail to succeed in their mission will find themselves with a rather large target on their backs and a promise that they'd find themselves inside some cannibal's belly. 

Folks reached New Reno and have generally split up, gone to various establishments to attempt to retrieve bits of information and leads and what not. 

That's roughly where folks are. 

In terms of applications I believe we are sitting around the original number again with newly accepted characters, but there have been no words of closure at this stage. I'm sure at least one more wouldn't be an issue if you wanted to work on a CS.
