Amari read over her orders one more time as she walked hurriedly towards her destination, mumbling to herself. "We were right on the brink of a breakthrough, and I get called away to participate in this game. Why do they even need an alchemist anyway?" she grumbled, repeating roughly the same thing all the way until she reached the stairway to the third floor. It wasn't that this whole idea, vaguely explained as it had been to her, didn't sound like a good experience, or even a bit of fun. She was just irked about being separated from her research. Still, as she reached the doorway and heard the sounds of conversation on the other side, she shut her mouth and palmed her ID, sliding it across the reader. As the door slid open, she was unsurprised to see what appeared to be a large auditorium, segmented into different circles for summoning servants. Distracted by studying the faces around her, and even vaguely recognizing a couple, Amari picked a circle at random near the middle of the room. Once she had stopped moving, she glanced at the object in the middle of her circle, then did a double take. She had been expecting a weapon shard of some kind, or maybe a piece of a banner. Instead, sitting squat in the center of her circle, was a rather modern space heater with the power cord wrapped around the base. She was about to ask if this was some kind of joke, but decided that she should stay quiet for now and see what happened.
