I was suggesting that if the GM didn't return- once it hits the weekend is about when I'd start getting worried. 

[@Gowi] I admit that such an action would be disrespectful and was something I hadn't taken into account last night. It was a bit of a panic move and has less rational thought to it than I'd like to admit.

Perhaps it's just the general activeness of the thread that has me worried, but I'd hate to see this idea flounder for lack of leadership.
