Name: Rhode Ahrens Appearance: Age: 18 Birthday: 7/24 Hometown: Fuchsia City Family: Dolan Ahrens (Grandfather), Elsie Ahrens (Grandmother) Favorite Type: Dragon Least favorite type: Psychic Favorite food: Kebabs Least favorite food: Broccoli Personality: A rather happy-go-lucky type of guy, though he’s got a competitive streak a mile long. He’s more than willing to test himself against others, but it takes a lot to goad him into a real fight. Once someone has, however, Rhode isn’t the type to back down. He’s quick to think of others before himself, most often putting the needs of his friends and pokemon before his own. Bio: Rhode grew up with his grandparents in Fuchsia City and enjoyed a rather exciting childhood. Former Rangers, his grandparents tended the Safari Zone and ensured the health and safety of its pokemon. As such, Rhode grew up developing a deep love and respect for the same pokemon he helped tend. Though he initially considered joining the Rangers like his grandparents, that path changed when he stumbled across an injured dratini a careless trainer had attempted to capture. Rhode worked tirelessly to nurse the wounded pokemon back to health, though when the time came to release the dratini back to the Zone, it refused to leave Rhode’s side. Rhode formally caught his new companion and named her “Talis” and prompted his decision to pursue becoming a trainer. His companion sparked a love for the power and grace of dragon-type pokemon. He closely followed the exploits of the dragon-type masters of the regions, trying to learn as much as he could about the type before setting out on his own pokemon journey. Lance, Clair, Drake, Drayden, and Drasna became heroes to him overnight. Rhode dove into their histories and their training techniques wherever he could find them. Most of them had been rather reclusive during their years as wondering trainers, before being recognized by the world as dragon-type masters. So when Rhode set out on his own journey, he followed in their footsteps, making it a point to visit and train in as many of the same locations they had while on their paths to greatness. However, he wasn’t merely content with just copying them, and eventually made the decision to travel to Kalos to further his training in the region. Pokemon Team: Talis Level: 15 Nature: Timid Moveset: Wrap, Thunder wave, Twister, Dragon Rage Personality: Rhode’s first pokemon, and best friend. Talis enjoys being outside of her pokeball, and will often travel with Rhode draped across his shoulders. She is Rhode’s strongest pokemon and the one he know best. The two are often in synch with one another to a rather odd degree, Talis often knowing Rhode’s commands before he even gives them. Beyond that, she is shy around strange trainers, but is a bit more bold when Rhode is there with her. Judiac Level: 5 Nature: Hasty Moveset: Screech, Supersonic, Tackle Personality: A hyperactive pokemon, this little Noibat is easily the most curious of Rhode’s party. Always flitting about and getting into trouble, his excitable and easy to please attitude helped him integrate well into Rhode’s group. Roac Level: 10 Nature: Adamant Moveset: Splash Personality: Most trainers point and laugh at this member of Rhode’s party, but neither Rhode or Roac seem to care. Rhode found the Magikarp after a heavy storm had flooded a low valley and left the water-type stranded in a shrinking pool of muddy water. Though Rhode has never used Roac in an actual battle, he and his other pokemon have all pitched in to help train him along with the rest of the team. Badges: None at the moment Other: ~Dislikes having his pokemon in their pokeballs ~Thoroughly enjoys parkor. Started practicing as a way to keep up with his own pokemon ~Incredibly sarcastic. ~Enjoys swimming
