How is character design usually handled? I didn't see anything about pre-registering a character based on power level/abilities/equipment/etc. I did see something about T1 - which sounds... Distantly familiar. Do fights conclude after a set number of posts/are they judged by anyone to determine the victor? What generally is sought after in these arena matches? Common themes, etc are what I am after. I noticed a number of different settings and characters (which is great), I just wanted a clearer image or direction if there is one. Thanks in advance! Looking forward to dusting off the gloves 'ere shortly. -Glass
1. Between us we don't really have a consistent character design here, so it's kind of do what you want. As long as your character isn't OP and is detailed enough on their abilities and so forth, there's characters of all walks of life who may wish to challenge you. Trying to base things on power level has been difficult in the past and gotten us into a few debates over how best to handle it. As such we usually just think, "yeah, these guys seem like a good match" and go with it. T1 is the battle system, which is pretty straight forward. I'll try to find a good link explaining it tomorrow if nobody else beats me to it. 2. I've seen both options. Most of the time it's "go until someone is defeated" (unable to battle for whatever reason). I personally dislike ending a fight after a turn limit because I'd like to see it to it's conclusion. Most of the time if it's victory by judgement then it would be a tournament. 3. No real direction. We're sort of trying to move towards incorporating more story into our fights, but the focus is still on fighting. Our efforts to create a multiverse, which would be more story heavy, has failed so far. With more people popping in here lately there could be some improvement in this regard due to the failure mostly due to lack of dedicated roleplayers.
