I expected as much in all honesty - random group of elves immediately leaping to combat at first indicated threat so the party does not feel bored - but not just there, just general styles of play and houserules, as with all 1s being failures and 20s being successes. Character motivations aside of course; Jaegar not having the same intent and willfully posing a threat I cannot comment on as we are not too sure who he is, let alone all others involved. No one "knows" the other quite yet.

That said, [@ELGainsborough], I will state that Geraint is not a deceiver and while I do intend to try to talk down or out of threat with his abilities, I do not intend to do so by lies. Abstaining from sharing the whole truth? Certainly, but I chose the path of Good and honesty via the Honesty traiy for him - he would answer that he [i]belives[/i] the others will follow suit in this case. That is all just for future consideration. 

This all said and worked out, I will post the animal companion's reaction shortly - being about as pleasant as you can imagine a defensive, now threatened tiger to be.
