Brief Backstory: Augusts family immigrated to Canada in the years between the first and second world wars. A third generation Canadian, August won big on a lottery ticket a couple of years after graduating high school. Having fallen in love with his current job at a cafe in Montreal, he nonetheless craved a change in scenery. Taking his winnings, knowledge and enthusiasm, Valentino moved to Japan to open a cafe of his own in Tokyo. Today business is doing well and he has long since made back his investment but is now looking for a new challenge.
