I'm looking to start a roleplay in which we will be apart of an organization who hunts down beasts and creatures of the nights from werewolves to ghouls and everything in between. The RP will start at the end of the 19th century in America at a Fictional Fort with several Fictional towns surrounding it. The last twenty years sightings of mythical, or demonic creatures will be nearly zero with only rumors that lead to wild goose hunts. The order at this time will have started to thin out, and this particular garrison will be short handed and under manned with about 10 active people working there. Most towns will have taken down their bells, an alarm system for the garrison. As leaves begin to turn to their fall colors a spike in activity begins to happen, rumors begin to spread in the taverns and bars. People are seeing strange things, something is brewing on the horizon and its up to our garrison to investigate and hopefully put a stop to it. 

I'm going with beasts of legend so Silver for werewolves, stakes and garlic for vampires that sort of thing. I'm looking for a more "realistic" approach not really like the movie blade, or twilight. Most of these will pose as human, or during the day or hide out at night away from the towns people. 



The Order:

Total membership is at 2,500 scattered through out all 46 states. The order is made up of outposts and forts each one manned by at least ten rangers, All members of the order are called Rangers. Often patrol can be out for several days at a time. And its not uncommon for them to move on foot or horse back. 

Rangers are held to a high standard of marksman ship and some level of melee skill. Each member being allowed to choose their weapons and layout things have become very lax for the rangers often times those who join are held to lower standards than those that were set twenty years prior.
