Age: 32 (1982)
Bio:
At the age of eighteen, James enlisted in the United States Air Force. During his term he was noted as a strong leader and was told that instead of reenlisting after his time was up that he should get a degree and reenlist as an officer. Taking that advice he earned a Bachelor in linguistics and a MBA in logistics. 
Upon reenlisting, he was able to get assigned to SGC due to some connections with a former Major. He is fluent in English and Farsi. Upon learning about the Ancients (or Alterians) he started learning Alterian. When the mission to Andromeda came up he was assigned to it due to his understand the language fairly well not to mention he had a lot of experience being on a SG team.

Name: Captain Emily Chloe Martin (Australian Defense Forces - Australian Army on loan to SGC)

Age: 27 (1987)
Bio: Born in "the bush" in Western Australia, Emily spent most of her life raised in the Australian outback. Being the youngest of three, and the only girl she was tomboyish and learned to shot, climb, and hike at a young age. At the age of seventeen she was accepted in the Royal Military College in Duntroon, following her two brothers into the Australian Defense Forces. After graduation, she joined up with the Australian army wanting to carve her own niche outside of her brothers' influence as they had joined the Royal Navy and Air Force. 

In 2009 she was assigned to the second rotation of the Mentoring and Reconstruction Task Force (MRTF2) in Afghanistan. After her tour ended early 2010 she was recruited to join a special task force assigned to Stargate Command. There she served on one of the SGC teams for a short time. However, due to the high concentration of the ATA gene in her bloodstream, she was reassigned to the Antarctica outpost for a few years before coming back to Stargate Command in 2013. When it was determined that neither Shepherd or General O'Neill could be spared for the Andromeda mission, now Captain, Emily was removed from SG32 and reassigned to the Andromeda project.
