How about a bunch of men and aliens punching each other and using blasts that could destroy the entire universe until one of them dies. (It's a real wonder that they don't die by one blast considering the whole "can destroy a whole universe" thing going on)
Given what the characters in my own project are capable of - which we've discussed a little of - they're actually a lot more 'absurd' than this idea, except justified. Anyway, you haven't had an idea from anyone for a bit, so figured I'd contribute. >Thinks for a minute or so. A high school student decides to start taking part in a play-by-post role-playing game that's done over the cell phone (because society is obsessed with them now) with people, which conveniently several other people in his class/school happen to also be a part of (because that always fucking happens). Eventually, it turns out that everything they're writing about actually becomes reality in a parallel universe to their own, and the people from that parallel universe found out about it (don't ask how -- it's meant to be absurd) and subsequently invade the main character's universe in order to try and destroy it so the terrible things happening will stop. This invasion is done by them creating their own version of this role-playing game and 'fighting fire with fire', resulting in a cross-dimensional war that happens without either universe actually ever directly encountering the other. Yeah, I came up with that in about ten seconds...
