Andrew had been suffering after the Legion fell, he wasn't able to do anything, just watch as the sky lit up with explosions that felt brighter than any star. At the end, he was alive, yes, but he had lost almost everyone. He had gone back home, ditched all his legion gear, and gone back to being just another freak. He used what little money he had left to rent a crappy apartment, buy a few books and a chair, and an air-mattress. He'd planned to just sit there and read just to stay awake, it would rip his life away, but it was the only escape he had. What else was he supposed to do? Thankfully, Rokk had arrived at his door a few hours after he began contemplating suicide. He had thought Rokk dead, and from the looks of it, he was halfway there already. "A new Legion?" He had asked. "With what, our shadows? Face it Rokk, the Legion's gone, it's great to see you again, but I'm just another circus freak now," and he'd truly believed that too. Somehow, Rokk convinced him that the world needed a Legion, and he was needed as a part of it. The new blood was... surprising, to say the least, the vast majority was older than him, but he had already settled into a role as the veteran legionnaire, so he got to act a lot older than he was. When Rokk's voice came over the intercom, Andrew was working out the rust in his abilities, both figurative and literal, somehow he had managed to get wet in iron form. A little electrolysis was painful but necessary to fix it, thankfully, there was plenty of power going around, Rokk's new legs ensured that. A last shock and a dip in the tap water was all that was needed to de-oxidize it all, it was good that the call went over the intercom only then, or else they wouldn't have Ferro Lad, they'd have Rust Boy. "I'll lead the away team," he said with a sigh, he never was a good leader, but as the senior Legionnaire, he was the most likely candidate, of course, he could ask. "Unless anyone else wants to lead, I'd prefer to get some reading done while we're out." he joked painfully. Hopefully someone spoke up, if not, leading a superhero team couldn't be too hard, Rokk did it. Though Rokk was so much stronger than Andrew, and had much stronger powers. This was sounding less and less like a good idea the more he said it.
