Surely, not even outside of the secure location where they were supposed to be hidden away, secret and safe, she didn't have to have her guard up, right? Wrong. Of course as soon as she could feel sunlight on her skin, before she was even out of her blindfold, she was ganked. I just returned to lane, come on! she would have internally whined in game, but this was neither a game, nor did she manage to stay awake long enough to think much of anything. She woke strapped on a table, she slowly realized as she tried to move her limbs to cover her eyes from the bright light beaming straight down into her face. Where? But it didn't take her long to remember just how bad her past day, or few days, or who knew, had been. She blinked slightly over and over, hoping to get her eyes adjusted to the lamp above her, but when that failed, instead turned her head to the side and stared off into the relative darkness. The sound of typing at one of those annoyingly-loud retro mechanical keyboards drew her attention to the other figure in the room, and she studied him as well as she could by the light of his monitor. "... You could have just asked nicely, you know? My secretary could have made you an appointment." It was perhaps not a smart thing to say, but she was more tired of being kidnapped than she was scared. And for some reason, she wanted to make an inappropriate joke about being chained up, which she found oddly pleasing in a way that she was trying to ignore, but which was definitely making this whole situation seem better than it could have.
