Percy exited her classroom and began her venture back to her apartment that she had rented for her during her schooling to become a vet. She was exhausted from the evening before, as she had worked a band night at the pub down the street and it was a long nitime of drinks for her patrons. Taking one of the buses back to her apartment, she checked her phone only to see that she had received multiple messages from her guy friends asking if she would be able to watch the game with them that weekend. She politely declined as she knew that she would pick up a few shifts in order to pay the bills that had begun piling up as well as finally purchasing a few books on modern witchcraft to expand her knowledge on her newfound religion. She stepped off the bus and walked down the block to her apartment. As soon as she entered her domain, she heard a shrill meow as her ebony cat, Nyx, sauntered up to her. "Hello, baby girl." Percy cooed as she gave the cat a good scratch under the chin. The redhead then dumped her school bag onto the floor and slumped onto the couch she had recently received from her parents to help make London feel more homely. Nyx curled up on the arm rest as she unlocked her phone to check her emails. The one that caught her attention was one that was labeled "Magical Girl". Internally, she groaned at the thought that one of the guys had uncovered her love for anime, especially the girly kind with magical girl's and talking cats, but upon opening it, she noted that it looked mostly like spam. "You have been selected to become a Magical Girl...?" Percy read aloud as her green eyes scanned the email. She noticed that there was a button to push, but she couldn't help but wonder what kind of hoax it was. Her finger pressed the button and a hologram of a star with eyes appeared from her screen. She nearly chucked her phone across the room before it began speaking to her. It explained what was going on and a smaller cellphone appeared on the couch next to her. Percy stood up from the couch and stared down at the red, almost glowing phone as if it were a bomb before she hesitantly reached out and picked it up. Turning it over in her hands, she was informed to tap the screen, and as she did so, a bright light engulfed her entire being. She could barely hear Nyx hissing and leaping down from her perch to hide under the chair. She felt a warm sensation course over her, like she was submerging herself in a hot bath and suddenly, it was gone. She was no longer wearing her black, skinny-fit trousers and Halsey blouse; what now covered her body (if only barely her vital parts) was a short, tight-fitting black dress with slits up the sides of her legs. She also wore a set of high-heeled black pirate-styled boots that went halfway up her thighs and an almost comically large black witch's hat. There was a belt that sat perfectly on her hips that had a silk pouch dangling from it. When she looked down at herself, she noticed that her short-cut hair was now down to her calves and it was the color of blood, rather than her simple red. Then the red phone in her hand, the same voice from the star hologram, told her that she now had her costume and magic powers. She was shaking so hard that she could barely follow the instructions to log into the small device and entered the chatroom. The name that appeared for her was "Crimson Witch". Percy felt tears fill up in her eyes as she saw that there were "chibis" of different girls, all wearing just as ridiculous (if not more so) than her own. She about dropped the phone before one of the chibis, the largest of them all, and the star began talking about what it was going to be like being a Magical Girl and that they would have to sign a contract if they wished to continue. There was nothing more that Percy wanted in the world than to chuck the phone out the window and into the busy street below, but her hands were moving on their own, and she signed her name. What have I done...? Percy thought to herself. I'm now a Magical Girl and need to go help people? What kind of sick joke is this?! I can't tell the guys about this... otherwise they might think of me as being a crazy attention-seeking psycho... With a deep breath, she entered the general chatroom where she hoped that the other "Magical Girls" might be able to help. "Does anyone know what just happened...?"
