~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Maddox Teldryn ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Maddox’s sight never wavered. He was a member of the Crimson Knights. Not just some lowly conscript or someone’s squire. Maddox was a full fledged knight as his abilities would not be denied. Trained under the island renowned Grand Master Ingbert Telsek, all the Crimson Knights spend time fighting Grim Scars, wild Elves, Whispering Demons, the undead, a variety of monsters and each other. The few short years he spent training as a Crimson Knight represented some of the best training the island had to offer with regards to martial combat. Maddox vowed, he would not be turned away. Finding little satisfaction in the mediocre results of his previous attack, he pushed forward making short work of the opponent’s own attack. The knight drew back as the blade came forth. The tip drawing across the armor plating with speed that detracted from the precision of the hit. A deep scratch drawn in the metal forged plates, a battle scar that Maddox would wear with pride. As soon as the blade found its way passed the warrior’s armor the knight pivoted to stand side faced with his shield towards the opponent. He thrust forward in another attempt to break the opponent’s defenses. While he found that the results were less than favorable upon thrust and impact it would not prevent him from continuing. The Knight brought his sword across Abel’s flank from the Knights right to left slashing across Abel’s body given their close proximity it would likely cleave an arm clear off a body. Upon impact, successful or otherwise, Maddox found it prudent to withdraw. The distance between them would allow the knight to better analyse the situation before him. His defense would maintain with a shield before him and his blade of choice at the ready.
