Hazel Baker With the 'shopping' done, Hazel went back to finish all the papers she was given. It was slow work, and she had to consult the books she was given, but she filled out everything to the best of her abilities. Without any commands given, she defaulted to the regime imposed upon her in that facility, not out of any obligations, but out of simple habit. She did some light cleaning to the apartment room before going to lunch. Having learned a lesson during the event with Emma, she simply picked out some vegetables and fish randomly, deciding she should research the food to balance her diet better. By evening, she had already finished her usual exercises in the field, and returned to the apartment room. Beeping, her anklet blared out an announcement before she could take a shower. This was something she was familiar with, a familiarity that made her feel slightly more assured. Downing two more pills from that featureless white bottle, she followed Lawrence towards the truck, and towards battle. *** There wasn't much to be said in the truck, just answers to Lawrence's questions. Once they were out in the field, their targets was conveniently marked for them with brightly coloured shapes. "I suggest whatever we do we start doing it quickly." Was that the command? Did he want her to attack those things over there? She glanced over to the boy, the one who was supposed to be her handler, her commander, the one who held her leash. Perhaps she should take a swing at the monsters and see if he reacts or not. Stepping into range, her arms turned transparent, almost disappearing from sight. She took an experimental swing at one of those large things' leg to topple them.
