His skin began to transmute into scales, in a crystalline process similar to water becoming ice. As it spread from the nape of his neck as its source. The green leathery scales that became of the skin continued to morph, widening and becoming plated like metal sheets. The scales continued to slowly spread up and down his body. Chris would then scream out, his head tilting up further and his eyes strained and wide. By the time both features were gone, the skin there were already growing into scales. His hair began to fall from his head, and his nose started to elongate. His head then lowered as he would vomit blood from his mouth onto the floor. Slowly forming a puddle on the floor. 

Another scream was released from his mouth, jerking up a again as if his own human body was in desperate protest. His hands would clench the dirt so tight that they now made small holes. No longer able to keep his hands occupied he'd jerk back up on his hind legs as his tail continued to grow in a slithering motion beneath him. As the scales spread to his wrists his nails slowly converted into claws. His once human face now started to elongate, whatever hair was left was falling off like feathers.
