Jace looked at Basil, feeling slightly hurt for his ending statement. He stared at him for a long moment. "I'm...the jerk. And your new friend is a godsend, huh?" He started walking a littl3 faster to give a little distance. He hated acting so harshly towards Basil, but he was exhausted and still felt the effects of his near-death experience.
