Emma was taken aback by the violence that her Tulpas acted with- even if it was just creatures that were in essence not real fighting each other before her she still cringed with the ferocity that Determination attacked the dog with. All this violence... it can't be right, can it? But... aren't we the good guys? She wasn't sure herself if what was happening before her was really okay- technically, as far as she knew the creatures Menagerie created were a threat, but it still felt wrong for her to command something to rip off a dog's head, even if the dog was trying to kill her. She shook away her doubts. Right now she had to fight, for everyone else's sake- she couldn't worry about her own melodrama. She summoned Determination again... Or, she tried to. She tried again. And then she realized she couldn't. Of course her own self doubt was impeding her ability to muster up her determination, but Emma didn't understand her power or herself enough to make the connection. All she knew was that she wasn't feeling determined enough, with little understanding of what exactly that meant. Devotion looked back at Emma, clearly befuddled- or at least, once again Emma had personified the Tulpa and applied the emotion of confusion to a cursory glance back by the inhuman creature. And then suddenly a scream broke out across the battlefield, louder than anything else. Emma glanced around- it wasn't anyone in her group, but she was sure that someone was gravely injured... and that was the best case scenario. Concern flashed over her face, but she knew she couldn't worry about the other groups. She needed to help Hazel and Lawrence and the others. She focused... she needed to help... and so came Charity. She knew that it had an energy drain of sorts- she doubted its effectiveness, but she did not have much choice. She glanced at the two dogs, considering them- in truth they were so pitiful that Emma couldn't bring herself to kill them, but she told herself that they were no longer threats and could be disregarded. "Charity, Devotion, follow me!" She was slightly more comfortable commanding the creatures, but uncertainly still crept into her command. They followed all the same. Instead she moved to back up Hazel and Lawrence, running to stand by the former. She glanced at the wound on her arm- they appeared superficial, but they were certainly worse than the meager pockmark's on Emma's own skin. She had to worry about the charging doll first, and to this end she called out to her Tulpas. "Devotion, slow the doll! Charity, drain it!" Her voice was shaky but they complied. She expected Hazel to attack it as well. Assuming they were successful and their safety was assured she would ask, "You're injured... are you okay Hazel?"
