"Dear God, Kaye, relieve me of your food for just one night," Leith sighed, taking a seat a decent distance from Jace. He then reached into his bag, pulling out a small, leather-bound book and a stub of a No. 2 pencil. He then began his nightly recap on his day, a soft smile tugging at the corners of his lips; even when they were rough, not just when they were happy, he could trust the book to listen. This one was getting full, though. Soon, he'd have to scavenge or purchase another one. Perhaps he'd also splurge on a new pencil, but a vault should have plenty of those, right? Basil glanced over at Jace, and asked with a nervous smile, "Is there anything in particular that you'd like tonight, Jace?" It'd been a difficult day; perhaps a good meal would cheer him up a little?
