Gwendolyn
"To preserve your precious lives for longer, I had to take some measure of sacrifice on the functioning of the cradles. Your tattered memories are a result of that. I hope you will understand..." Gwendolyn froze at those words. Had that level of sacrifice really been necessary? For everyone to forget who they had been? She could tell that the majority of her memories might not be pleasant, but there had to have been some others beside that one, more substantial memories of those two before the collar. Even the bad memories would illustrate what was going on now instead of having to blindly follow a Caretaker that she barely knew. But she really had no choice, but to follow her and she hated that. Beth was following the Caretaker without question. Daresso seemed like he trusted her and probably wouldn't hesitate to do what she said, even if she said to jump off a cliff. Everett at least had sense. "No," the curious girl replied. "We really have no other choice. Our guards can at least be up, just in case." With that, she started following the strange lady, casting her gaze around while keeping the lady ahead. Her glance frequently fell on the unopened cradles, hoping that their contents had not passed on to the Great Unknown. "Lady Caretaker," she called, "Why are they still asleep? Weren't we all suppose to wake up at the same time?"
