[@Light] If Geno is the type of character who would value his own perception above what is told to him, then most certainly. The Caretaker has been quite vague anyway, so some things can be constrewed. He might think that he is part of the council given what he has seen, such as how many others are still sleeping and her politeness towards them thus far. In the end, what your character does and how they develop is up to you.
