Caius stepped into Alex's house and nodded his thanks to the tall Indian vampire. He stepped past Sara warily, aware that she was a newborn vampire. But all the same, he gave her a polite nod of acknowledgement. Not really knowing where to go, he headed into the living room and stayed there. Claudia's text said for him to hurry over followed by Alex's address. He didn't sense any immediate danger but there was one peculiar smell in the house.

[color=palevioletred]"Cai!"[/color] Claudia called out as she stepped out of the room she shared with Alex.

Seeing Claudia's eyes confirmed his suspicions. [color=turquoise]"You have a child in there. A pup. 3? 4 years old?"[/color]

Claudia nodded, impressed by how sharp his brother's senses are. [color=palevioletred]"4 year old. We're gonna adopt him."[/color]

Caius narrowed his eyes. [color=turquoise]"We? As in you and---"[/color]

[color=palevioletred]"And Alex. He's asked me to marry him, Cai."[/color]

[color=turquoise]"Wait a minute, Claud. You're marrying a vampire and adopting a wolf pup. Don't you think that's a bit too much for a 4 year old?"[/color] Caius looked skeptical.

Claudia frowned and stared at her younger twin.

Caius stared back and then bursted out laughing. [color=turquoise]"Fine, fine. Congratulations on your engagement and your new baby. I'm sure he'll grow up to be a lovely young man. Yes, yes, I'll babysit whenever you need me to."[/color]

Claudia pouted more. [color=palevioletred]"You're horrible."[/color]

Caius raised an eyebrow. [color=turquoise]"What? What did I say now?"[/color] he feigned ignorance and then grinned. [color=turquoise]"Seriously though, congratulations. I'm happy for you."[/color]

Claudia smiled. [color=palevioletred]"Thanks, Cai."[/color]

[color=turquoise]"So, does this mean that you will no longer run with the pack?"[/color]

[color=palevioletred]"I still plan on joining the pack."[/color]
