Just to be Clear
[sub][@Noxx][@Rune_Alchemist][@13org][/sub] The light whipped in and out of sight. Always just ahead, always just out of reach. Nox couldn't say what is was that had drawn him to the light, nor what sane part of him decided it was in his best interests to chase after it. The light had made him feel happy. Which was strange on it own. Lights didn't cause happiness. Magic did. Even then it probably wasn't real, magic didn't cause real feelings. It was probably a trap and here he was running right into it. Why? Because he was interested. Was he really interested? Was it the magic that made him interested? This thoughts distracted him for a second and suddenly, the light vanished. Nox stopped. For the first time, he took a look at his surroundings. Kicking himself for being so foolish. For rushing in after something when he had no idea what it was, into a place he had no information on. It was basic hunters safety. He was about to give up on the light when he heard a voice cut through the darkness. "GO AWAY! I DONT WANT TO HURT YOU!! I DID NOTHING AT ALL!! WHY DO YOU HATE ME SO MUCH!? EVEN IF I TRY TO HELP YOU ITS ALWAYS THE SAME!!" He stood there stunned for a second. Was he going to hurt the light? Well he certainly didn't expect it to talk. "I'm not--" he said, steeping into the clearing that housed the voice. Freezing at once. In the clearing he saw two girls? One of them was human enough, and seemed rather indifferent to the whole situation. The other...had a tail. At once his hand flew to his hilt, but he hesitated to draw it. They didn't seem to be attacking him. Even a month before, the two would have already laid dead at his feet. But the memory of the screaming babe left him hesitant to pull his blade. Then another voice entered the clearing“What are you doing in my forest? This is my home, have you come to defile it?” At that he did pull his sword from his hilt. "What- Your? No," He said, his eyes flashing between the two girls who looked just as confused as himself to see creature in the trees. Trying to organize his thoughts he steady himself "It isn't your forest," he said some what lamely. His right arm started to tremble slightly, but he wrote it off as a side effect of the confusion. "Okay, just to be clear. Are...any of you attacking me?"

Breaks over Dearies
[sub][@WeepingLiberty] @All tavern people [/sub] It was nearing midnight which, in Seren's Folly, meant it was time for the dinner rush. Abby was thankful when she saw Marcus enter the tavern, all the orders were starting to become overwhelming. Wine and ham for Jenny. Scotch for the whistling man. Ham stew for Draco. Once all the orders had been met for the moment she smile oh-so-sweetly towards Marcus, before grabbing his ear. "If you are late again. I'll skin you," before letting go. She paused for a moment. Her body tensing. "Perhaps we should start cutting everyone off now, food only," With that, she rushed off to set plates of food in front of every hunter who asked for it, trying to ignore the sinking feeling in her stomach. If being old had taught her anything, it was the evil would come soon enough, it wasn't worth suffering twice by worrying about it.

Gnoming Around
[sub]Concerning all Hunters [/sub] "Bishop," growled a voice. "Bishop, wake up now," A mound of earth shifted and a body started to emerge from the frosted ground. Inch by inch, starting with the hands, then the head, then the torso. Once out, the body laid there, caked with soil. "What is it you want Nora," said Bishop, the dirt that covered his face cracking to show many sharp, pointed teeth. The other creature crawled forward, on all fours like a dog. Out of the shadows of the moon, the creatures gray, molding skin shown. "Can't you taste it, they are trying to kill us," she growled, only recognizable as female by her bare breasts. "It'll take a lot more than this poison to kill us, you know that, I know that, most of them know that. I suspect it isn't even for us," He said, finally standing up. "It is the principle of thing, we've let them live in peace for the most part. We've been considerate about the number of humans we kill to survive. If I have to feast on the flesh of another deer, I'll go mad. And how do they thank us? By bringing their wars here? Waste of blood." "I fail to see why you bothered me," "We have to do something. Tonight. Get those miserable hunters out of our forest once and for all," she snarled. "It'll all seems rather rushed," Bishop frowned. "But I suppose we could," The creature looked around, seeming lost, before punching the ground. At once, no more than fifty body sized mounds popped up. Each one of them cracking and spilling out another body. While each one looked unique, they were all gray, with black hair (if they had it) and seemed to be in various forms of decomposition. One even had a fungi growing out his shoulder. Without speaking, all the creatures started walking towards Seren's Folly. Never minding that the poison seemed to lessen the closer they got to town.
