Mainly the torch’s handle will be colored maroon and the flame gold in most representations, though this does vary.

The symbol of the Commonwealth, the canton denotes the union between the duchies of Ruithia and Buvacia with the golden cross over maroon canvas. Comprising the rest of the flag is a blue canvas, painting the strong nation that came to be of the union, with the everlasting torch upon it.

The naval jack makes only minor changes to the flag, to a much more visible white canvas sporting the same features of the regular flag.

The Commonwealth’s battle pennant flies with each and every one of their land-based units of the armed services. Located just west of the mountains at the center of the continent, the city possesses a cold climate and high elevation. Contained within its towering walls is nearly 600,000 people in its own right. Located in a sealed partition of the city is the Grand Duke's keep, accompanied by an array of government building satellites.

The former capital of the Duchy of the Ruithia, Ruith is situated right on the coast and houses the main operation of shipyards in the entire Commonwealth. It possesses temperate but still rather chilly climates due to its semi-northern location. Well defended, Ruith possesses an absurd garrison of forces compared to most other cities, despite only having a population of 130,000.

The former capital of the Duchy of Buvacia, Dolsk is located at the mouth of the river separating the portions of the Commonwealth. Being in a valley at a much lower altitude than other cities, Dolsk is more lush and temperate, sporting mild lows and highs with rare fluctuations. A bustling trade city, it extracts goods such as furs, hides, and cuts of meat from nearby forests to send upriver for sale. The population sits at a modest 210,000.

Population: 8,500,000 Religion: Ursurprian
The Commonwealth had not always been, for it started as two separate bordering states formed in the late portion of the Many Shields Era. With the rise of the Suuban Empire, both nations became the vassalized duchies of Ruithia and Buvacia respectively. With the collapse of the Empire itself, each of the duchies faces their own turmoils. Ruithia, being primarily coastal, faced raids from the sea by barbarians and vikings of every time. Meanwhile, Buvacia, bordering the mountains, combated false claims of former Imperial governors that sought to claim and enslave their peoples. Come the Era of Plate and Fire, the two duchies decided to consolidate an alliance, and marched in many a war together against barbarians and heathen tribals alike. By the latter part of the age, the royal families of both duchies had intermarried, creating the House Klemens, which led to one ruler ruling both duchies simultaneously. Eventually the two joined in union, creating the modern Commonwealth.

Faithful: The lifestyle of Ruithians and Buvacians alike is one of utmost faith. Every city, town, and village has a place of worship, with a pastor manning each. Wildsmen: Ruithians and Buvacians both have adapted to the wildlands in their own ways. Ruithians have mastered fishing and ship building, taking to rivers and the open seas as they have for centuries. Buvacians meanwhile are avid hunters and mountaineers, utilizing any weaponry available to them, whether it be a bludgeon, blade, or firearm, to fulfill the art of the hunt. Boisterous: Denizens of the Commonwealth are often vocal, and overly so. Loud, but friendly, they can make a quaint conversation with anyone over anything from a mug of coffee to a pint of beer. Men of Valor: Residents of the Commonwealth view themselves as servicemen no matter whether they are with the military or not. They consider themselves ready soldiers at any time, thus in times of war there are lines winding outside of each barracks in each city and town chock full of eager combatants.

The Hetman Legions of Foot are the main dismounted ground force of the Commonwealth, consisting of every footsoldier without a mount.
The Legion of Footblades consists of those foot troops armed with bladed weaponry, such as swordsman, pikemen, and halberdiers. Many of these men are armored, though it ranges from full plate to simple leather or chainmail coverings.

The Legion of Footbows and Gunnermen consists of the those foot troops armed with ranged weaponry, such as bows, matchlock arquebuses, and javelins. Men in this Legion possess little to no armor besides leather or chainmail coverings except for the occasional man with portions of plate.

The Hetman Legions of Cavalry are the main mounted ground force of the Commonwealth.
The "normal" cavalry of the Commonwealth, the Legion of Light Mounts houses traditional mounted swordsmen and other assorted melee weapons. As their names suggests, these types are often left lightly armored to maximize mobility.

As the name states, this Commonwealth cavalry is in fact heavy. Most cavaliers of this type carry lances or pikes that do not require them to readily move while mounted. This type of cavalry is often heavily armored, with riders being in full plate and even some horses getting their own cloaks of chain and plate. Though this decreases the mobility of these men, it makes their charge all the more devastating when it connects with the enemy.

This cavalry is essentially a mounted version of the Legion of Footbows and Gunnermen. It comprises of lightly armored and lightly equipped archers and gunners. Though, the gunners on mounts are not equipped with full length arquebuses and muskets, rather with shortened variants which can be fired without the assistance of a mount, called carbines.

Not much is to be said about the Flotilla, other than it is a motley crew of only thirty-six ships, ranging from galleons to galleys to frigates.
