I think you should do what you want and have your Digimons personality be it's own, not based off of current media. It's an RP afterall so you've got creative freedom as long as the GM allows you. 

It still urks me having Beelzemon at the end as it doesn't seem overall fitting to me as I've never seen the line like that before. But it's not really up to me now is it? Ahaha
