James now had a lot he had to consider as he held her close under the blankets. This would change their relationship to some degree but as he held her in his arms, he realized he was okay with that. Unlike a lot of other situations, he was okay with dealing with the outcome of his actions this evening. And in any sense, he made sure it was consistently okay with her. He didn’t feel like he stepped over any bounds and didn’t put her in any uncomfortable positions and… well he was happy. Happier than he had been in a long time. Her question stirred him from his thoughts and he adjusted his head to look down at her. She looked so peaceful, so relaxed that he couldn’t help but smile. “Of course, that sounds wonderful.” Moving gently as if she was something delicate, he offered her a hand and helped her to her feet. Picking up the blankets with more of a practice hand that he would care to admit, he folded them and the two went back to the car hand and hand. Once inside he turned on the engine and activated the heated seats. Reaching over, he gently took her hand and laced his fingers in with hers. Maybe he was being a bit forward with his desire to hold her hand but would it really be wrong of him? Could you honestly blame the guy? A soft melody filled the car as they drove back to the apartment complex. Soon they were inside of his apartment, his television was turned onto Netflix with Disney’s Shrek playing on the screen while they sat comfortably on his couch drinking hot chocolate. “Did… did you have a good time tonight?” He asked shyly speaking more into his hot chocolate mug than to her.
