It's not just her really dark black skin, but it's her accent and mannerisms. When she speaks, she has a very thick accent, and sometimes stumbles on the English language. For those who are familiar with them, it's clear as day that she is Haitian. Her movements are slow and deliberate, and she takes large steps. That said, Claudette is a thick-boned girl that has a solid build all without being fat. She has solid, masculine, earth hands. She has a healthy amount of body fat and muscles, while she plays sports, she isn't muscular. But her legs are fairly solid and devoid of body fat. But her body has some curves to it. Her breasts are C-cup, and her butt is round. She's not super short, but it's an inch below the average female height, and according BMI, she weighs a healthy amount too. As it's been stated before, she looks pretty Haitian. Her facial features, skull shape, and hair-texture are quite consistent with Africans, but it's not that which gives away her Haitian heritage, but it's her very dark skin. Her skin is very dark, coal-dark, which is probably from the extra-sun she's been getting since she was young. Her skin is very scarred, but the most notable scars can easily be concealed under her clothes. Now, easily the most notable scar on her right has to be the one a few centimeters above her knee, that circles her entire leg. Almost like she was bifurcated (And it's true!) around those two areas. Claudette's hands have leathery, fleshy, burn scars all over them, that are fairly recent. She also has a few burn scars in assorted parts of her body, mostly on her arms and chest. It's because she went overboard with her power a few times. Her head is round-shaped, and her facial features are squared. Her eyes are small, and have that longing stare to them, in addition to having a amber color. Her nose is large and arrow-shaped, pointing inwards somewhat, with small nostrils. Claudette's lips are pretty thick and full. Her cheeks are small, but very round. Claudette's chin is rounded, and smooths into her sharp-jawline quite well, but it's pretty big. Claudette's ears are small, round, and yadda, yadda. Finally, Claudette has thick, afro-textured, hair. She has two large, bushy, afro-puff at each side of her head and the rest of her hair is brushed down. [b]Attire:[/b] Claudette's style is very modest. She has a school-girl style, you could say. She likes to wear skirts of various patterns, but never a skirt that goes down to her knees, and she's usually always showing her legs. As for shirts, she tends to wear formal shirts, such as dress shirts and sweaters, at times, she wears. But she never wears a shirt that shows too much skin, and usually all of her clothes cover skin. She'd never be seen in anything that'd be slutty. But, she keeps her hands covered up to hide those horrible scars on her hands. [b][u]Personality[/u][/b] [b]Personality:[/b] A one, true fish out of water. Claudette is new to the whole America thing, and has to get used to everything. She is a very sweet and kind hearted girl that is polite as she is well-spoken. While her English may not be too good, she's real fun to be around. She tries to be one of the nice, energetic people, who everyone wants to be around. However, she is very inexperienced in general, due to a rather sheltered upbringing. She hasn't gotten herself any real experience. She tries to mesh with American standards of what is fun and what is cool a little too hard sometimes. Sure, she'll talk to people, and play pranks, but she's rather naive, and easy to convince with a little bit of smooth talking. Due to her lack of awareness about American culture, it could be quite easy. Since she hasn't exactly adapted to American culture yet. It's not stupidity, it's merely a lack of her own understanding. All because she was lonely back home and wants to make friends with other people. Claudette has the edge that she's meek, and her attempts be cool to can come off as endearing. Especially her overly apologetic habits. If she screws something up, even in the slightest, she'll apologize, a peculiar habit she had developed. Adding onto her endearing traits, Claudette is rather inexperienced with romance in general, because she never exactly had one! She intends to fix that. Most of her "experience" with romance has to be glorified relationships on TV and other outlets. Claudette tries to flirt, but can't exactly get that down too well. She herself isn't too sure about her sexual preference, she's fine with boys and girls. Claudette constantly seeks approval of others, and wants to make friends out of many people. Even if she comes off as desperate. With the people she does become friends with, she really values their relationship, and will go out of her way to help them whenever she can. One of Claudette's major problems is that she's often anxious, and goes through bouts of depression because of the loneliness. Which is why she tries to get friends, and have fun, to bury those traumas with past. Claudette doesn't exactly know doesn't how to express her feelings properly, and has a hard time controlling her emotions. She's fairly moody at times, or can be described as oversensitive. It might be a side-effect of her power, or past traumas coming to light. Claudette is a fairly lonely girl, and just wishes to change that. She attempts to hide this mentality underneath a nice, and cheerful mask. A mask that she never intends on ever taking off. Because it makes her feel normal. Claudette isn't exactly super comfortable with her power because of one lapse of control caused her to hurt someone she cared about. She plans on avoiding this by maintaining control of herself at all times. One of Claudette's biggest peeves is when people mistake her lack of understanding of the English language for stupidity. It's something that angers her to no end. [b]Skills/Talents:[/b] This might not seem like a skill, but since Claudette is Haiti-born girl, she is learning English. It isn't perfect, but she's trying. Her main draw is how well she can speak French, specifically the Haitian Creole. [i]That's[/i] what Claudette can speak. Other than that, Claudette has played a few sports. Nothing that she's especially good or "talented" at, but she was given lessons in Tennis and Soccer. It didn't exactly stick with her, so it's barely worth noting. Another thing she got lessons for was the piano. Unlike sports, she managed to actually come to love playing the piano. But her main draw seems to be how good at cleaning she is. The Jean-Pierre family were apart of the Haitian Elite, one of the few rich families in a poor country, that had a heavy hand in the Government. The Jean-Pierres lived in the city of Port-au-Prince, and, naturally, had enough money to spend enjoying themselves. They lived in the city in a nice house. Other than the occasional thief trying to break into their house, they lived a rather uneventful life. Being rich wasn't so glamorous for Claudette, actually. She got what she wanted, and was properly educated, but it was all so lonely growing up for her. There were really no other kids that were her age for her to interact with, and her father kept her from really interacting with them because he was rather paranoid. She was just the lonely rich girl, only having the company of maids and butlers that all came and went. Claudette's father picked up on this, and gave his daughter some hobbies for the child to keep her mind off of it. Claudette was given lessons in Tennis, Soccer, the Piano, and others, in an attempt to find something that'll keep her happy. But none of them really helped, they kept her distracted for a bit, but were not a permanent solution. Her father was extremely paranoid, and had a fear of what the lower class might do to Claudette to elevate themselves, so it was something she had to deal with. However, Claudette's mother, Patricia had helped a great deal with her daughter. They talked a lot, and Patrica attempted to teach her daughter morals and how to be humble so that the wealth wouldn't go to her head. These conversations came to shape Claudette, but Patrica helped Claudette by using her secret power of emotion manipulating on her. It felt wrong, but it kept Claudette in a good mood. Continuing, there wasn't too much about Claudette's early life until she was ten, when the Haiti Earthquake hit. The Port-au-Prince district was hit the hardest by the quake, and unfortunately, the Jean-Pierres were no exception. During the middle of the night, everything began shaking and Claudette wandered out of the bed, confused. She was injured gravely during the quake when she fell down some stairs and a piece of rubble had fallen on her and crushed her leg. She was unconscious for awhile, but while she was knocked out, the rubble was pulled off of her by her parents, and she was rushed outside by her frantic parents. They had come across a rescue party during their run through the ruined streets of Port-au-Prince, and Claudette was taken to the Argentine Air Force Mobile Field Hospital. Once there, she was treated by a healer, a Meta-human, that was in Haiti for the time. This healer was healing children and the incredibly wounded, so Claudette fit the bill. There was a scar left behind, but she was otherwise in great condition. After she was healed, she was given to her family. Her family was confused, and in fear. But one thing was for certain; they couldn't stay in Haiti, going from shelter to shelter. Things were going to get bad. They choose to head to America for awhile, since they had quite a few ties to the states. Fortunately, following the Earthquake, the US Government were a bit more lenient when it came to Haitian refugees, so they were allowed to get a greencard and live America. Which was the plan until the dust settled and they could resume their businesses. They arrived in the states, living in Myrtle Beach, South Caroline, and the place was so strange to the young Claudette. They lived in a vacation house that they had owned on the beach, for the time being. Unfortunately, Claudette had to do a little bit of adjusting to the states, but, once again, she was kept rather sheltered out of fear of what other people might try something. Her father was always out handling business, or mingling with his American friends elsewhere, so she was left alone. The only real company Claudette had was her mother, but even she wasn't around all the time. Patricia attempted to teach Claudette some english. Years had passed and the house started to feel like a prison. Claudette was barely let out. However, she decided to take matters into her own hands. She simply snuck out of the house when her family wasn't home. She didn't go far, she merely explored the beaches on her own terms. Until she ran into other people... she was rather shy, but managed to start a conversation with them. She talked to the other people who had owned vacation houses in this area. Some of them were young and had kids. It was scary for her at first, but she eventually warmed up. She went back home before anyone even got back, and went out again the next time. Creating a cycle of sneaking out of the house. She met people, and it shaped her into a better person. Even though she couldn't talk to them that well. Claudette thought that she gotten better at it, predicted them better. All she did was get arrogant. One day, Claudette stayed out on the beach for too long, and her family came back. By the time she had returned, they were worried sick about her. Claudette argued that she was tired of living in a prison, which made her father extremely angry. In a fit of anger, he threatened to lock her in her room and never let her out (He wasn't going through with it, however). This made... Claudette very angry. It awakened something in her, bright-red flames had surrounded her. She dropped to her knees and let this fire vibrate in all directions. Which set the room on fire, and badly burned her father. Her mother had realized what happened, and quickly used her power to pacify Claudette, extinguishing the flames automatically, but the damage had been done. Claudette had gravely burned her father. He was rushed to the hospital, and she was rushed inside a cell. No one had planned on arresting her, but the incident had caught the all knowing eye of Camp ThinkerRock, who had offered Claudette a place in the camp. A chance to be among the people like her. She saw it as a solution to her social problem, she took the offer without a second thought. And away to ThinkerRock she goes. The fires of intense emotion, that she can barely contain herself. That said, Claudette can create a special kind of technicolor flame out of nothing. But this fire doesn't burn anything, it doesn't consume oxygen, secretes no heat, and cannot be extinguished with water. These flames are heavily connected to Claudette's emotions, in fact, what they do, and their color, heavily depends on the emotion she's currently feeling. The stronger her emotions are, the stronger these abilities are. These abilities are on a similar frequency to Cerebral-type powers, but have shades of Elemental, and buff herself and other like Super-System powers. However, some aspects of her ability are Cerebral in nature. Claudette can see the "emotional fire" that resides within people. It's a fire that represents the emotions that people experience. How strong their emotion factors into how intense the fire rages. More or less, this is empathy, except in a slightly different way. Claudette can read base-emotions just by looking at people, but she has a form of telepathy. Not allowing her to read minds. If she grabs onto somebody, and focuses really hard, she can "receive" the emotion, and see a vision about the source of the emotion. This ability might not be related to the flames, but it assists her greatly. By receiving emotions from other people, Claudette herself mirrors them, which can allow her to choose the flame she wishes to use. In addition, Claudette can also "recall" emotions she felt in the past to change the properties of her flames. It's not as easy as mirroring someone else's emotion, as it takes an extreme amount of concentration, but it can help her in a pinch. Below are the possible emotional combinations: [i]Anger.[/i] Claudette's anger more or less makes her a more traditional pyromancer. Her flames pack an intense heat, eat the oxygen, and burn whatever is in Claudette's path. These flames are much more intense than usual flames, they're hotter and burn things much faster. Once again, proportionate to the anger she's feeling, however, they have an effect on her emotions. They make her angrier, and more savage, therefore, the more she uses the flames of anger, the stronger. They burn with a bright red color and an intimidating light radiates off Claudette's body. In addition, she gains a resistance to heat (But not an [i]immunity[/i]) to allow her to withstand these heats. Notably, they also infuse Claudette with far more strength (Allowing her to lift three times her weight), durability (Boosting her durability enough for her to shrug off punch), and numb her pain (She will feel less and less pain). [i]Fear.[/i] Fear is a tricky emotion, it either inspires you to fight or run... in this case, the flames of fear hide Claudette. The flames of fear take a bight-yellow color, and take the appearance of a more smoky/gassy substance. These flames erase light, muff sound, remove odors, and generally mask what is within the flames. Thermal signatures will be invisible, radiation/signals will be dampened, and so on. It also mutes the senses within the flames, the sense of touch is confused, sight is robbed, and hearing is deafened. It also interferes with the detection abilities of Meta-humans. While inside the flames, she'll be invisible to telepaths, other information type abilities won't work properly, and generally, only powers that detect Meta-human energy will be able to sense her. [i]Love.[/i] Love heals, and there is no passion greater than love, and it shows in their bright, hot-pink, flames. The flames of love heal those that Claudette exposes them to. Physical and mental wounds will be healed. In fact, if she so happens to be in the presence of someone she loves, the flames will heal her too. In addition, the flames secrete a fume that alters people's perceptions a bit. Regardless of what person they are, they'll think that Claudette is much more attractive, removes inhibitions a bit, and it'll be like her voice is hypnotic. Thus, they'll be easier for her to manipulate. [i]Sadness.[/i] The moment Claudette's tears start rolling, her flames will take a dim-blue color. Like the flames of love, these flames secrete a fume, one that doesn't alter people's perceptions, but is a gaseous chemical. The flames of sadness are much like tear gas, they sting every orifice in someone's body. Badly. Causing them to cry themselves. Maybe cry themselves to death! [i]Joy.[/i] The flames of joy are the flames that get the party started! A bright-green flame, they overpower whoever they touch with a happiness like no other. Even the angriest soul, or most savage beast, will be flooded with a peaceful feeling. In addition, they will be full of energy, having their stamina restored, almost making them want to jump around. So will Claudette. She'll be infused with the same invigoration. [i]Desire.[/i] What people crave... The flames of desire take a dark-green color, and are quite simple in what they do. Claudette can create illusions by shaping these flames and envisioning something. She can create anything that she imagine, much like the average illusionist. [i]Nostalgia.[/i] The past was great, wasn't it? The Flames of Nostalgia take a purple color and allow Claudette to absorb memories of whoever they touch. After they come in contact with someone, they'll copy memories from the past and "store" them within the flames. From there, Claudette can absorb the memories and experience them for herself. As a small side effect, Claudette's own memory will be enhanced, and she'll remember things much easier. [i]Anticipation.[/i] The flames of anticipation are a tan color. These flames grant speed buffs to whoever they're affected by. They'll be able to run, think, react, and heal faster. It also makes them far more nervous, and won't think things through. Which counts as a weakness and a strength, if you think about it. [b]Weaknesses/Drawbacks:[/b] First and foremost, Claudette can only access one form of the flame at a time. That's more of a limit, but I feel like I should note it. Plus, this power is pretty situational, she sometimes won't have the right flame for the right situation. Which puts her at a disadvantage when she doesn't have time to prepare. Now, using any form of the flames emotionally drains her. As in she won't have any emotions and sensations if she goes overboard. She'll feel empty as a husk, and nothing she does will change that. And there's the fact that without emotions, she's powerless. So that means she has to work hard not to overuse her power. These flames tend to influence her thought patterns a bit, such as making her more single-minded. Each form of the flame has their own weakness: [i]Anger.[/i] Claudette will get consumed by her own rage the more she accesses the flames of anger. That said, she'll get more and more predictable and single-minded in a fight - which a clever opponent can take advantage of. That said, while Claudette has a resistance to flame, if she overuses these flames, she can burn herself extensively. The flames can also dehydrate her, burn all the oxygen, and so on. After she's done using these flames, they make her feel heartbroken. She'll feel grief and disappointment for a period of time. [i]Sadness.[/i] Uhh... the flames of sadness also sting her eyes? I don't know. Well, the flames of Sadness make her apathetic to the world, and she'll slowly demotivate until her only goal is to find somewhere to wallow. [i]Joy.[/i] The flames overwrite all other needs, emotions, and thoughts. By that I mean that the only thing she'll want to do is jump around and have fun. No matter what. Someone could punch her and she'd laugh it off. Which means she's extremely vulnerable to attack while the flames of joy are running, and she won't be able to focus on the goal at hand. [i]Desire.[/i] Much like love, Claudette will be consumed by a desire like no other. Whether it's for people, or an object. Which can cause her to act really rash, and so on. Any illusions she creates only affects sight, and are intangible, so yeah. She better keep that in mind. If people overcome their desire (Or have none) then they will not see the illusions that Claudette creates. [i]Nostalgia.[/i] Absorbing memories can be quite painful for Claudette. If she absorbs too many memories at once she will suffer a painful overload and will be rendered unconscious. Even then, absorbing small amounts memories will make her thought process a bit hazy for a moment as she processes it. Though, for the psychological side, Claudette will gain an insatiable desire to indulge herself in her good memories as she uses her flames. Which can overwrite all other thoughts. [i]Anticipation.[/i] These flames speed up Claudette's heart too. If she uses the flame too much, she could suffer a heart attack. In addition, the flames make her impatient, fidgety, nervous, and prone to jump the gun. A bit on the pudgy side, indeed. Claudette, while tall, has a noticeable amount of body-fat on her frame. Bodyfat that she had since she was a child, and never really grew out of it. If anything, she grew with it. Even though she's a very hard working girl, she just couldn't get rid of it. Naturally, she has a chubby stomach, and fat legs and arms (Especially in the upper parts). It has helped add curves to her figure, especially her hips. Claudette has a natural pear-shaped figure, with pronounced hips, a large behind, and very wide legs (In the thigh area of course). It's... embarrassing to her. She's a tall girl, standing a few inches above most girls, and nearly up there with the boys. It helps that Claudette is just so big mass-wise. She, also, has very thick bones due to her African-Heritage (Not that she could use the "I'm big boned" excuse). Speaking of which, Claudette is a Haitian to her bones. She has very dark-skin from spending plenty of time in the sun, and her facial features pretty much give it away. Still, all around, Claudette looks somewhat gruff. Normally it's the scowls, but her fists are bruised, and scraped. And her size probably ways a bit into it, too. She has plenty of scars, the kind of scars you'd expect a person to have (scars from harmless injuries, and mistakes). Then there's the stuff you wouldn't expect someone to have. There's a scar on her shoulder that looks like a massive crack - as if she was made of something and it broke. Another scar is on her upper lip, and goes to her nose. She also has a small scar on her belly, shaped as if someone stabbed her with a blade. Claudette is also missing a few teeth, knocked out during fights. A few other teeth are cracked/broken. It's easy to pick up that she has a very shitty dentist. Other than the scars, Claudette has gotten herself some tattoos over the years. On the back of her hand, she got a black tattoo of a feather. On her chest, above her left breast, she has "LOVE" written in a stylized italic text. Claudette has a small, rounded head, with round, less than pronounced, facial features. To get started, Claudette has a large, rounded, droopy, nose - crooked from getting broken one time and healing incorrectly. However, her nose is barely disproportionate to her thick lips, as expected from someone of her heritage. Another defining trait of Claudette is her rather large, round, cheeks. She has large, almond-shaped eyes of a amber color. Her ears are large, and round, usually hidden under her hair. Oh, speaking of her hair, Claudette has very curly, frizzy hair, and she has a lot of it. She has it tied into a ponytail, a frizzy ponytail, with most of her hair brushed back. Claudette speaks with a thick southern accent that has a hint of a Haitian Accent (Creole, of course). It's a pronounced accent, too. Her voice is raspy, due to smoking too many cigarettes, of course. Living in rural Louisiana sticks for most of her life has really shaped Claudette's style. She dresses really modestly, much like Southern mothers twice her age. She wears skirts, jeans, dress-shirts, and other such modest fashion - though, sometimes she wears clothes that show cleavage. Color doesn't really matter to her, though, she doesn't exactly dress in flashy colors. She always found such people tacky. Claudette was never one to wear hats - however, she's rarely seen without a scarf wrapped around her head. She has a collection of different scarves, of various patterns and colors. Only sometimes will Claudette wear a hat, usually on a special occasional will she put on something like a sunhat. I should also add that Claudette wears plenty of jewelry, she has her ears pierced, and often wears hoop earrings. She also likes to wear bracelets.... Rings? Not so much.[/indent] [b]Skills/Talents:[/b] [indent]Claudette is a cook! She was taught by her family how to cook restaurant level meals. Mostly southern dishes, but Claudette has been more than willing to branch out and try things for herself. To great results. She has a great grasp on ingredients. Say if she had a recipe, she could easily identify a part which wouldn't be tasty, or make a modification that'd make it taste better. While she was never the athletic type, Claudette played plenty of soccer with her younger brothers (Who taught her how to do so). She's also pretty damn good at swimming. Surprising given her size, but she can swim pretty fast while in the water. It's just a talent of hers. Claudette is also a painter - pencil sketching was never her thing, but she loved painting. Her apartment is full of paintings she made herself (Which those assholes at the art gallery won't buy). While she never wentt to Haiti (and, honestly, doesn't intend to), she has learned a bit of the Haitian Creole... and never used it before. However, it really helped her learn French. On the rougher side of things, Claudette is a fighter, she had to fight plenty of times. No MA, but she was taught how to fight by her father, and her various friends. While she doesn't have the MMA fighter's build, she's certainly one scrappy bitch. She hits pretty fast, doesn't let up, and she hits hard. Along with fighting dirty in "fair" fights. Of course, she also cheats a bit using her power (Hardening her skeleton).[/indent] [b]Brief Backstory:[/b] [indent]Claudette started in really rural Louisiana (I can't name a place since I'm too lazy to look up a place) as the bastard daughter of a fishermen (her father), and a restaurant cook (her mother). The two eventually got married and decided to form a family. The first thing her family did was start a restaurant after saving up years of money. Jean-Pierre's Seafood Restaurant, and it was one of the best in Louisiana. Over the years, Claudette received many siblings, and Claudette herself practically grew up in the restaurant. As she grew older, she was given jobs within the restaurant. This started her passion for cuisine, and helped her get the necessary skills to begin. Of course, their little piece of Louisiana was far from the best. Crime and gangs were apparent, even in schools. So, her father taught her how to fight. A skill that came in handy after her parents were arrested for fraud, and sent to prison. Which meant the Jean-Pierre children fell in the hands of her father's brother, Henry Jean-Pierre. Henry took over the restaurant, but was far more concerned with it than his nieces and nephews. This meant there wasn't anyone there to take care of them. Which meant someone had to - and of course, it ended up being Claudette. Being the oldest, and most mature of the siblings. She took the role of group mom, and took care of her little siblings. Especially when people hurt them - Claudette always returned the favor. Claudette wasn't happy with the change, but she sure as hell got used to it. However, one dirty old man harassed her younger sister, and Claudette broke into his house while he was sleeping, and beat the ever loving shit out of him. During the asswhooping, Claudette's arm turned into metal, and the beating was stopped only because she freaked out. The man escaped, and got police involved, and Claudette had a long conversation with NEST. What she did broke several laws - but NEST figured that they would "enroll" her in Camp ThinkerRock over in Oregon. The [i]last[/i] place Claudette wanted to be was away from her siblings, but NEST makes the damn rules around here. She'll play their game for a little while, and maybe get a good education so she can begin her career. At will, she can transform her body partially, or completely, into an iron alloy (Similar to Steel - NEST has confirmed that there is iron, steel, platinum, nickel, and titanium in her form). This form is very shiny, and bright. And I'm not saying that she puts a shell on over her skin; her body actually turns into metal. Basically creating an instant armor whenever Claudette needs it. Now, this is obvious, but Claudette is very durable. Iron is a very strong material, and she's capable of withstanding most physical attacks (If you're punching metal barehanded, you're an idiot), blades are essentially useless, and iron has a very high melting point. In terms of bullets, she can easily resist small arms (not without getting a little dent), heavier firearms and attacks would put a hole in her - still, she'd be able to handle them much better than she could in her human form. Along with iron being pretty dense, she's very heavy, you'll have a hard time moving her. Her body will be homogeneous, no part of her body will be more important than the other. In addition, she won't be able to feel pain, will be immune to biological attacks, and will be independent of oxygen. She'll basically be a moving statue. In addition to having a strong defense, she can dish out the damage just as well. Packing enough force behind her punches to break bones in one punch due to the sheer density of her form. Naturally, her strength is brought up a few notches, nothing to the levels of say the Hulk, but she can lift up a lot more, and put more strength behind her attacks. Finally, Claudette has the ability to shape her body. She can change her body into simple tools, such as blades, and the such. Limited by her mass, of course.[/indent] [b]Limits:[/b] [indent]Now, any damage that her metal form receives will transfer back to her human form. Any dents she gets will appear in her flesh (and that's not good), and any holes she receives will be oozing the precious red stuff by the time she switches back. The same goes for temperatures. Metal transfers temperature very well. Say if she's red-hot, or super cold, transforming back to human form can kill her in a very, very, very, unpleasant manner (Every part of her body will be hot/cold). Even for less extreme temperatures, she'll have to stay in metal form for awhile, or risk serious damage. Also, she can't swim.[/indent] [b]Weaknesses/Drawbacks:[/b] [indent]This is expected, but Claudette, in her metal form, is heavy as all hell. Don't expect her to pull off any feats of agility. She's pretty slow, most people's sprints can outpace her top speed while metallic. Even her attacks will be much slower. If she so much as falls in water, she'll sink to the bottom like a stone. So, yeah, she basically has the mighty glacier deal. Because her form is so shiny, shining a bright light on her (a flashlight would do) would render her blinded by light. Temperatures, specifically caused by powers, can serve as a problem to her. High enough heats can soften her form, and render it easier to damage (And lock her out of her human form, for the above). Sub-zero temperatures makes her very brittle. Electrical and magnetic based powers are also a counter to her. As being made entirely of metal her brain still has electrical impulses. Yeah, he's the bastard child that neither of his parents wanted and since they didn't like the concept of abortion he was almost immediately given up for adoption. Afterwards he was completely forgotten about. He didn't have a very eventful life bouncing from foster parent to foster parent basically hating each and every one of them. Before it could escalate even further the officials at the Othergrounds had stepped in and threw both of them into the Detention Center for several days. Afterwards they had quashed their rivalry. While in the eyes of the staff and students they had stopped hating each other. Their burning hatred of each other remained. After that stage had ended: Caden had learned so much from the school. Much more than simple powers. He had ideals in his head that were less than pleasant. Years passed and Caden had started his own web of friends. Some people saw him as a good person... While others saw him as a maniac ready for the kill. One person he got extremely close to was a vagrant that had lived on the street for months, she called herself Lemontea. The two had some sort of connection to each other; both were vagrants that were unwanted by their parents and they had rough sides. When they were around each other it looked like they were completely different people. Lemontea was pleasant, while Caden was more caring and empathetic (towards her). She was the person that had inspired Caden to fulfill his goal in life. For her he would make meta-human kind the dominant species. Even if many fell in the process. This plan would require him to form himself an army. Possible recruits were easy; he was in a school for Meta-humans. He also had many friends on his side. All he'd have to do is start spreading his ideals. Shortly, but surely, he had a group of people who believed in his plans. Almost everyone else called him a monster. It didn't phase him--- All that really mattered to him was that he had a small group of followers. The next step would be leaving the school. Rumors had spread of Caden's plans. Which had spread to the higher ranks of the school. They were especially wary of him, and he returned the feelings. It didn't long for Caden to form a plan for escape. Taking advantage of the school policies. If a student wanted to leave the Othergrounds they would be sedated again, and returned to the very place they came from. He thought of a plan for all of his followers to meet in one-place; Black Fall. The plan would have went smoothly if it wasn't for one... deterrent. His old rival Valentina. She had heard of Caden's plans and taunted him in a hallway. Calling him all manners of mad-man, sociopath and other terms. None of it really phased Caden and he ignored it... Until Valentina took a jab at Lemontea, then he was enraged. A short battle took place, both of them have grown so much stronger. However in the end Caden proved to be the stronger one. School officials approached the scene and Valentina was found impaled through the chest and stabbed several times. It was suspected that she was killed instantly. With Caden standing over her body. It didn't take Sherlock Holmes to put together who killed her. Caden immediately fled and attempted to escape capture. The school went into high-alert for Caden and all of his followers. It got so bad that the Headmaster himself came out to capture Caden Caden had no where to go. The school was in lockdown and there was no way of escape other than getting exiled. It was likely that they would imprison him in stasis. Through much running he eventually found himself in the plaza... Face to face with the last person he wanted to see. The Headmaster, Caden knew it had to be this way. If he was going to fall he was going to make sure that the king of them would fall first. An enormous battle took place between the two, and both were pushed to their limits. Many had gathered around the scene to watch in horror--- But, no one else intervened. This was something... Above them. As the battle got much more intense, Caden managed to get a devastating move on the headmaster; slashing him with claws of darkness that nearly took half his face off. This unfortunately had activated his Omega burst... Which was enough to take Caden down. The ambitious leader was defeated and his allies were abandoning him. Seeing him as nothing. The next day Caden found himself in the detention center. He was presented with two choices; admit to the crime and they'll let him go free, or face an eternity in stasis. Naturally Caden took the former option--- Which by go free they meant that they were going to exile him. The next moment he was sedated and hours later he was found in the very place he came from. The orphanage. It was closed down and abandoned. He broke into the place to search around in the name of memories before finding that he had left something important behind. Caden bagged this possession and left the orphanage behind him. Slowly but surely Caden spent several months moving towards the rendezvous point; Black Fall, on Lemontea's favorite park. He waited weeks for them to return. But, no one came. There was no choice, they had abandoned him. If they had abandoned them he would have to start over. That was the choice he had made. Not actual Darkness, a bit more like the poetic terms of Darkness. Negative Emotions, Evil, Sin--- that jazz. Now, on to what she can actually do. This power goes down several different paths fueled by his own darkness, and the darkness in others. First and main use of his power, Caden can generate jet-black smoke that has a liquidity, metallic look, from anywhere on his body. Which is essentially darkness. He can control this darkness much like the traditional elemental, he can levitate it and shape it into anything. Green Lantern style. Usually this darkness is intangible and won't have too much uses--- aside from acting as a smoke screen. However, he can solidify the darkness, and essentially create anything within reason. Green Lantern style. Weapons, Walls, Small Objects. Anything, as long as it isn't too big. His secondary use is the ability to become this darkness. While this darkness he has complete control over himself allowing him to change any each aspect of his body in order to manipulate the size, shape, and dimensions of every part of his body. One of the main uses of this power is stretching parts of his body to extend his reach. While in this form Caden can also fly, and turn into smoky darkness--- Allowing him access to everywhere that isn't sealed air tight. Caden's darkness form makes him much more resistant to damage, mostly blunt damage. This darkness isn't actual darkness, it's merely the physical manifestation of people's darkness. Making it unaffected by light and/or darkness as much as any other object. Caden's next darkness power is that he can sense the darkness in people's hearts in the vicinity. Everyone has darkness in their hearts, whether a small amount or great darkness. It's more of a people sense. When people are packed together it's near impossible to pick them apart. It's a rather irritating part of his gift. Since it takes much concentration to pick people's separate darkness apart. This ability also grants him a mental "dark-spot". If anyone with a telepathic or other cerebral-type ability tries to enter his mind, all they'll see is darkness. This power grants him complete immunity to all cerebral powers that could affect his mind. Caden can also "shadow-step". It's a simple teleportation where he takes himself (in darkness form) apart and puts it back together at a location of choice. It can be anywhere his eye can see, from short distances to long distances. However, larger distances can be quite taxing on him. Caden can do this ability quite often, almost seconds after preforming it again. He usually does this ability while in fights, teleporting behind and to the sides of his opponents. Avoiding damage while maximizing it to them. Caden has much skill with his ability. Inventing advanced fighting techniques and mixing his ability to teleport, and sense people's darkness with high speed, hard hitting attacks. There are also a few more secret abilities that Caden has at his disposal. [b]Weaknesses:[/b] Caden's darkness power is fueled by his own Negative emotions/thoughts, Sin and it's supplied by others. It's mostly supplied by the form. So if he's alone or with a few people then his powers will be much weaker. His power requires absolute calmless (or apathy) to be used at full strength. Bearing strong emotions will cause his powers to fluxed between normal power and significantly weaker. While he's his Darkness form he doesn't have any form of intangibility. He'll take damage like a solid normal human being, though he can take quite a bit of blunt damage. This unfortunately doesn't apply to slice attacks and etc. His mental dark-spot also has a weakness. It only works if he's at full strength, if he gets too injured/distracted it won't work. It also won't work if he shows strong emotion. The way he always has a grin on his face and seems like he can handle any situation, even when faced with overwhelming odds. Cyril is a short man (5'4), and has a very thin frame. He is of Polish descents, thus Caucasian. His skin is a light color, but not pale. His skin is far from perfectly clear, he's covered in scars, slashing and burn scars. One particularly large scar starts at his right shoulder, and goes around his chest, stopping a few inches from his waist. He has a thin slashing scar across his neck, over his throat. Like someone tried slashing his throat but didn't pierce his jugular and windpipe. That isn't the end of his injuries. Upon inspection of his right hand, one may notice that he's missing half of his index and middle fingers. Right above the joint, he's missing his fingers. Cyril jokingly says that he lost it in a bet. Cyril has been blessed with good genes, since he's quite attractive, albeit he looks quite feminine in the facial features, near androgynous. He has a strong, handsome face, with pronounced facial features. His head is heart shaped, and his facial features are squared. He has sparkling olive-green eyes. That are small, but narrow, and. His eyebrows are cut into a smooth and narrow line. His cheeks are thick are full, they stick out whenever he smiles. His lips are slightly above average in terms of size, but are rather thick, and a little girly. Cyril's nose is short, but he has wide nostrils, and a long and wide nose bridge. Cyril's chin is very pointed, but small and well-defined. His forehead is a bit large, but nothing people will notice right off the bat. Cyril's hair is a sandy, blond color. It's straight, but he keeps it cut short and bushy. Cyril has little body hair, he likes to keep it that way. He shaved his chest, armpits (And down there). Few will see that he has hair on his arms and legs. [b]Attire:[/b] Cyril's style is generally a classy and neat outfit. He'll wear dress shirts/pants, frilled shirts, jackets, coats, dancing shoes, sometimes suits and ties. Colors won't matter to him. He absolutely loathes jeans and tshirts (And people who wear those), so he won't be caught dead in those. Cyril is the kind of guy that has his ears pierced, he is often seen with gold ear-rings. However, once the moment is right, Cyril will trade good-looking attire for practical wear. Usually held in one hand is Cyril's scepter. It is a long, black, regal-looking item that has the appearance of a wand and has gold bands around the center and the tip of it. At the very top of the scepter, there is a strange, glowing, pear-shaped crystal. This crystal is somewhat large, shaped like a pear (Except pointier), and carved expertly like a diamond. Sometimes he's even seen wearing a gold-painted crown with the same crystals as the crown jewels. [b][u]Personality[/u][/b] [b]Outward & Innate Personality:[/b] Cyril is a naturally adventure-loving person, but is quite sarcastic. Sometimes he's very uninterested and will convey that disinterest through looking away, rolling his eyes up into his head, or playing with his thumbs, or random objects. But when he's 'interested' he speaks like a charming individual that always knows what to say, and speaks with confidence. All without coming off as arrogant or egotistical. He tends to give the impression of a loner with a mysterious past that's full of dark secrets and action. But in truth, he's more of a person that prefers action over words. He's more than willing to blow off someone he thinks is bragging just because he doesn't believe them. He's quite easy to annoy, however, mostly by people who talk too much. Cyril values the quiet type that speaks with action. However he has his own coping mechanism and will respond to being annoyed with copious amounts of sarcasm. Which to say the least, he's always being an utter smartass about even the slightest thing that annoys him. Cyril usually interacts with whoever he finds interesting, or may be useful as an ally. Though, Cyril has a habit of making enemies because of his sarcastic attitudes and overall contempt for some people for even the slightest offense. Acting like some people are nothing more than annoying, and thus, not worth his time. It is worth noting that Cyril generally gets along better with girls than guys. Surprisingly, he acts like a ladies man, and treats (Most) women with respect and kindness. He usually goes out of his way to talk to the girl if there's a group, ignoring whether or not she seems to be the leader. What else is notable is that Cyril shows much contempt when it comes to other males. Ignoring them, and being, well, a jerk towards them, which goes to homophobic levels. What's worse is that he really hates it when another man touches him. His reaction will be severe, getting violent quite fast (Girls are fine with this). It's all because of an earlier traumatic experience he had as a kid, but that's for later. When fighting males, Cyril is a vicious opponent, and is quite ruthless. There may be some boys that Cyril will be fine with, if they prove themselves to him. But even then, he'll have problems with them. Cyril isn't exactly a natural born leader. He's seen as guy that's in it for himself. Merely because he's great at watching his own back. Cyril works fine in teams. Just teams that don't have him as the leader. He's good at tactics and planning. Or he thinks he is. Give him a few minutes, and he'll make up a plan to defeat the main villain. Though, his downfalls tends to be his habits of over complicating things, and making complex plans for simple things. He has a habit of hating defeat, and loving victory. He'll do anything to win, or at least seem like the victor. Even going to petty, hypocritical levels. Even if he can't seem like the victor, he'll try his best to get "even" even if it means that he'll break a few rules and cross a few lines. It doesn't matter to him, all that he cares about is being the winner. In terms of morality, Cyril is more-or-less chaotic neutral. As in he does whatever he wants to do, good or bad. Though, he won't do acts of either without good reason or advancing his own goals. Unless it comes to stealing, Cyril was trained to be a thief. He won't hesitate to just swipe what he wants. [b]Hobbies/Interests:[/b] Poker, magic shows, women, etc. [b]Skills/Talents:[/b] Cyril is quite versatile in his many skills. He's a natural born-thief. He knows many techniques that would get a person like him arrested for awhile. Picking locks, hotwiring cars, leaving behind no evidence or fingerprints, and being stealthy. He's quite experienced in combat, being in more situations than he could count. Other than that, Cyril knows a wide variety of other noncombat skills. Cyril is a great dancer, he's trained and practiced himself in the area. He's the best at ballroom dancing. I'll have you know that I have zero knowledge in dancing, so forgive me. Cyril has also done some acting, and is quite convincing when he fakes emotion - Which has benefited him during interactions with people. Cyril knows how to paint, cook, and bake. He can move them, make them bigger, infuse them with different elements (Fire, ice, electricity, etc) and so on. Usually he uses poker cards in fights which he can make razor sharp. Cyril also has a form of teleportation involving poker cards. He can switch places with a poker card. There are few limits to them. In a fight he throws 52 cards in the air around an opponent and rapidly teleports, attacking them with each blink. The power also makes Cyril supernaturally lucky in the way that outcomes are more favorable for him. Not in the way he'll find a million dollars lying, but it's much more subtle. Like he'll have a higher chance of winning a bet, or the guy chasing after him will trip over the next stick. Cyril also posses a form of precognition when it comes to casinos. He'll always know the next move someone pulls in poker, and knows what numbers he'll get when he rolls a roulette wheel. [b]Weaknesses/Limitations/Drawbacks:[/b] - The casino magic makes Cyril schizophrenic. He'll start to see things, like people's eyes replaced with spades, or sometimes everything looks like it's made entirely out of poker cards. Stuff like that. The more he uses his magic, the worse the effects will get until he reaches the point where he'll drop on his knees and scream into the sky. - Cyril is very adverse to males to the point of homophobia. While he has the Asian Culture in his blood, he undeniably appears Caucasian. Most won't be able to tell unless they look at his eyes (which are pointed much like those of the Asian Culture) or he tells them. Charles's skin has it's fair share of scars, and moles. Most of his scars are on his upper body (and arms) from previous incidents he got himself into. One notable he has is a large scar is on his shoulder and goes down to his elbow. It's because of an injury he gotten when he was younger and had to get surgery for. Charles has a inverted-rectangle shaped head. His face is squared, and has very well defined facial features. His chin is large (and has a cleft), his chin sticks out far from his face.  His cheekbones are large and poke out a bit. His nose is average-sized, with smaller than average nostrils (he sometimes has trouble breathing through them). His ears are distinctively shaped, they're generally rounded and pointed at the very tip of his ears. Charles's eyes are small, and nearly beady. They usually have a distinct glare. He has a large forehead that sticks out slightly. One of the first things people will note about him is the massive forehead he has. His lips are small and thin, almost lady-like. Charles's hair is straight and a jet-black color. His hair is shaved completely, leaving a small amount of hair remaining. He's not the person to have long, lush hair, so he keeps it short. [b]Attire:[/b] Charles's attire varies from day to day much like any other person. He usually wears something with plenty of pocket. He dressed to look and feel good, in other words, with style. He'll wear sweaters, dress shirts, or vests--- All with patterns that interest him. He'll mostly be seen wear a light-grey Kangol hat. When he's DJing, he'll wear Rave-style clothes and heavy head-phones. Charles wears circular thin-frame glasses, since he needs them to see properly. One thing that people will notice about Charles is that he carries around plenty of random junk. He usually carries around metallic objects, or anything sturdy. Stored either in a bag, in his clothes or in a backpack. When asked about it he'll either give a misleading answer or lie about it completely. There's a reason why he's called the Collector. [u][b]Personality[/b][/u] [b]Innate & Outward Personality:[/b] Charles is one of those people who try hard to be smooth and level-headed. When things get chaotic, he'll start showing a less than smooth side. He's very kind and almost can be considered polite. Much like he was raised to be. He usually tries to act hip and cool when possible. One thing Charles is not above is showing off. He has an inflated ego and isn't afraid to show it. Whether it's showing off his skill/taste in music, or sometimes even his powers. He has a habit of telling people what they want to hear, instead of what they need to hear--- As well as the habit of brown-nosing. This makes him kind of a tool. When he gets complimented (about anything really) he'll get overly proud of himself and it'll inflate his ego even more. In turn, Charles can't take criticism, he either takes it as an insult or not even acknowledge it at all. In short, Charles wants to hear things he wants to. Charles (much like his siblings) is a social person, always enjoying making friends and allies at every possible opportunity. He won't exactly take looks into consideration when he makes friends, more of how they act and what their ideals are. He doesn't hold grudges very long, he's kinda naive, and tends to get his mind changed very easily. This makes him easy to manipulate if certain people know how and what to do. However, he will learn from past mistakes, and not allow himself to fall for the same trick twice. Charles will never hurt people intentionally, and has a slightly heroic morality. He'll fight people who he thinks needs fighting, and help people he thinks needs to be helped. He'll do the best he can, when he knows he can't, he'll likely back off--- Or if he's really determined he'll find some way to help. I'd say in terms of D&D Morality, Charles is Neutral Good. [b]Hobbies/Skills:[/b] Music. Charles loves listening to almost all genres (His favorite genre is Alternative Rock). He also loves making music for himself and others (To the point where he makes a business out of it). Charles likes reptiles and amphibians, flying saucers, sculptures, space operas, musicals, jewelry, cute woodland animals, flashy pop singers, and clowns. Charles has several skill-sets. He is a very competent DJ and music maker. He can make extremely good music with his computer programs for it. He can make Hip-Hop Beats, Techno, Dubstep, Disco/Funk and Club Music. Charles sells this music to interested people in Real Life and the Internet as his own little job. He's also very skilled at DJing and is considered one of the best DJs of his age and is going down the road to becoming a professional. Charles's skill in the musical arts is why he's called Disco around his hometown town. Another major skill is that Charles is very athletic and agile. He's played Basketball and Soccer, he's good at the former, and average at the latter. Charles also knows quite a bit of parkour. He's not super good at it, but he does know enough to pull off the basics. He can also Skate, except his skills are sub-par. He won't be pulling off any special tricks. His means of replication stems from an connection to the Energy that surges within every single Meta-human. On touch he can absorb a small amount (Like a sample) of this Energy, and through that energy he perfectly replicate their power. He gets an exact copy of the power and can copy any and every power (Except for another form of Power Replication). He can only use/absorb one power at a time. However, unlike his siblings, Charles cannot store powers inside of him, and he'll lose any powers he has after an hour. There is a special way to avoid this. While Charles has a power absorbed, he can touch an object and place the sample of the Meta-human Energy inside of the object. The power will forever be in the object until he takes it out. If he does put the power in an object, he'll be able to absorb the power from the object (Or another) at will. Which means he can swap powers on the fly by quickly placing the energy into an object, then absorbing the powers out of another. It can be literally any object (From clothing, to small objects picked up on the street). Charles does the smart thing and mostly stores these powers in objects that he can carry around. Essentially giving him the potential to have a limitless number of powers at his disposal as long as he has the objects with the stored powers. Which is why he carries around random objects all the time, he's always prepared to meet a Meta-human and add a power to his collection--- As well as using powers when the time is right. So far; Charles has three powers. [i]In a broken silver locket;[/i] He has the power of Sand Manipulation stored. This Sand Manipulation is fairly powerful, and is Charles's main combat power. He can control a large amount of sand, and has a large degree of control over the sand. Able to pull Sand from meters away from him for combat purposes. He can easily create tornadoes of sand, and fire large gusts of sand to knock people off their feet and inflict damage. Charles can also control Glass, except it's not nearly as powerful as Sand. He can send a small amount of glass shards at opponents and cause lacerations. [i]In his wallet;[/i] He has X-Ray vision stored. With this power, his eyes emit a ray frequency that enables for a transparency effect (i.e. x-ray) to visually penetrate solid objects or even see within objects. Basically, he can use this to see through solid objects, see through organic matter. Allowing him to survey a person who could be injured or sick and trace nerves and bodily function activities. These X-rays are affected by anything that would normally affect X-Rays. [i]In a green, Dora the Explorer toy watch;[/i] He has the power to cover himself and objects with the human Blind-spot. There is a naturally occurring 'blind spot' in the human eye that results from the optic nerve passing through the retina. Normally this gap in vision is very small, and is automatically filled in by your brain using information from the area around it. Charles can expand the human blind spot to cover himself and objects. Essentially making the object or himself invisible to people staring directly at it. While his power is active he can pretty much hide anywhere without fear of being seen. [b]Weaknesses:[/b] While Charles can copy powers, he won't know how to use the powers right off the bat. He'll have to practice and train to use the powers he wields effectively. Which can put him at a major disadvantage against those who are actually skilled with their powers. Once he absorbs a power out of an object, he will only have it for a limited period of time (an hour) before he loses it forever. He'll have to put it back lest he wants lose it forever. Of course Charles knows well enough to put the power back before he loses it. This is more of a weakness if he gets into a bad situation right when he has a power absorbed and won't be able to place the power in a suitable object in time. It can become troublesome for Charles to carry around a large amount of objects, as he collects powers he'll have to only bring along a small amount of items. He'll have to bring both items with powers, and he'll have to also bring a few items to store new powers into. This may be obvious, but if an object with a power stored inside gets destroyed he'll lose the power. Finally, if Charles gets beaten badly, he'll lose the current power he has. [b]Burst Potential:[/b] As Charles can perfectly replicate powers, he gets the very same bursts that the original owners have. Barring Omicron bursts.
