[indent]First thing that people see about Kai is that she's huge. Like way bigger than a seventeen year old should be. Like, the first things that people question about Kai is just [i]what[/i] they've been feeding her, or if her mother just so happened to be an Amazon. She's over six-feet tall, and has a very wide build that looks nearly disproportionate to her head. She's a little chub. From her youth, she had a bit of, shall we say, "baby fat" that she was planning on outgrowing, but just so happened to stick with her. She has a belly, and her arms and legs are quite fat. Best way to describe her body is that she has an "apple" build, though she's far from morbidly obese. It's nothing that she's proud of, but it has blessed her in the curves area. Her boobs/butt are quite large. Naturally, she has plenty of stretch marks on her body. Most people say that her weight gives her a rather distinct appearance. Which is true in more ways than her size. 

Kai is Polynesian, she has bits of Samoans, Native Hawaiians, and she's [i]very distantly[/i] Maori. Being a native of Hawaii (I mean, she lived there). Her skin has a distinct tanned color that matches people of her ethnic group. So does her distinct facial shape, rounded and quite pronounced. Kai's facial shape is very rounded, with her cheeks easily being the most pronounced part of her body. They're called the most pinchable cheeks on the planet! Especially when the girl gets angry, or starts smiling. Her eyes are thin, shall we say. They're a thin almond shape, and they're a light brown color. People have described them as oddly striking... or very beady. Up to interpretation. Her eyelashes are very thin, and her eyebrows are rather bushy. Kai's nose is very round, and upturned, the tip is pointed up ever so slightly. Medium sized, of course - but her nostrils are large. Her lips are medium-sized - but her upper lip is quite thin. Her ears are round shaped, and a little too big for her liking. She'd just [i]hate[/i] to be called dumbo. Kai's straight hair is a black color, and is actually well groomed. Her hair is tied into a neat bun on the back of her head.

In terms of outfits, Kiri dresses quite strangely. If Mountain Climber was a style, then Kai would be rocking it! That's because she wears a heavy wintercoat, heavy working boots, gloves, and matching large pants. The kind of heavy clothing that you'd expect someone to wear in the winter. When someone gets Kiri to dress normally, then she isn't no more standout than the average person you'd see on the streets. She'll wear jeans, T-shirts, leggings, etc. She'll never lose the boots. Though, she always likes to wear a jacket (or [i]something[/i] with pockets) so that she can walk around with hands in her pockets. I should note that, due to her size, Kai wears boxers opposed to standard panties. Kai's eyes are behind large, thin-framed, glasses.

[color=Cornflowerblue][b]Skills/Talents:[/b][/color]
[indent]Kai's main claim to fame would have to be in the water area. She's a very good swimmer for her build, and people have said that if she lost weight, and trained hard enough, she could compete in the Olympics. She just has that good of a talent at swimming. The other thing that the girl excelled at is surfing. She even won a few contests. It was challenge learning how to keep her balance with her weight and size in mind - but that should be a testament of her skill. The last beach skill I should note is that Kai has played Volleyball on the beaches.[/indent]
[color=Cornflowerblue][b]Brief Backstory:[/b][/color]
[indent]Kai was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, to a, you guessed it, a Polynesian family. A big one. She has several brothers and sisters. Both her parents worked in a five-star resort, with her mother being a mere housekeeper, and her father being a teacher. They weren't exactly poor, but they struggled to make ends meat sometimes. Sometimes they had to go without some luxuries for awhile (Cable being one of them). However, the family stayed happy. Kai herself was very invested in the beach - their family didn't live too far away from one. Her father taught her how to swim, how to surf, and her siblings taught Kai how to play volleyball (She wrecked those tourists!). Swimming became one of Kai's passions. So much that the girl would challenge herself by swimming far out into the beaches, or swimming at night. It was a foolish thing to do, but Kai loved the challenge. However, one night, she decided to be a little... "adventurous" and swam out at night. She went out a little too deep, and the waves started carrying her away. 

Kai immediately panicked, and this was enough to awaken something deep inside of her: superpowers. She immediately transformed into her element, and freeze enough of the water to climb back to shore. She transformed back, and immediately freaked out. Over the course of the next few days, she eventually figured out her power, and learned how to control it on her own. Starting by learning how to control her transformations. Kai kept this to herself, and practiced in secrecy, afraid of what her family would think if they find out that she's a Metahuman. She managed to keep this facade up well... until she realized that she was getting [i]stronger[/i]. Rooms were being cooled by her mere presence, and one incident turned a pool cold as arctic waters. This put the Hawaii branch of NEST on her case - due to the low amount of Metahuman related crimes in the state. Kai had no idea, she just went on without a clue. However, one day on the beach Kai got into an argument with a racist tourist, and it, much to her irritation, escalated into fists. Kai got her ass kicked. It accidentally caused her to lose control of her powers, accidentally froze the girl's hand. Everyone started freaking out, and NEST got involved. Wracked with guilt, Kai admitted to keeping her power a secret. When, if she was more clever, she could have stated that her power just developed. 

Now presented an interesting situation. Kai could be arrested for what she did - of course, they enrolled her in the growing Academy program (And she was sent to the coolest Academy of them all, Academy 218). She never been to mainland America, even though she heard so much about this. Despite being arrested, she looked at this situation with a smile. Now she can meet people like herself, and learn about her power.

[indent]When Kai manifested her ability, it came in the form of cyromancery. Except, Kai has the ability to selectively, or fully, transform her body into solid ice. In this form, her body will be anatomically the same as her human form. Except her flesh and bones will be made out of ice - her organs will still be visible through the ice. The advantages of this form come in many ways. For starters, Kai's body is extremely cold, she's sub-zero (Which means that she'll be invisible to all forms of heat detection). Turning into ice comes with a passive temperature manipulation ability that gradually cools the area around her. Second she changes, people will get the chills. While this ability is automatic, Kai can also adjust the rate an area cools. At the cost of expending energy, she can make a room absolutely frigid in a short amount of time. In terms of physical buffs, Kai will be extra durable (Try punching a glacier!), will not feel pain regardless of what attack she receives, and those dealing with biological abilities will find that she's a harder target. Her strength has also been increased  to levels where she can lift quite a lot more. Kai can potentially lift up and throw a piano. Pack a lot much force behind her punches. She calls it... Glacier Strength. Heh. She won't be able to compete with a Metahuman dedicated to strength, however. 

Time to move onto the more Cyrokinetic aspects of Kai's ability - the main abilities. Now, she isn't a dedicated cyrokinetic, but she has abilities from ice manipulation. First and foremost, Kai can generate ice. She can grow ice off her body in any shape that she can think of. Spikes, hammers, maces! This also extends to shaping her own body in the same way. She can turn her hand into a mace. However, by mixing both abilities together she can potentially create a large mace, or extend her limbs (Though, it's far from elasticity). This also comes with the ability to freeze objects on touch. She can snapfreeze just about anything on touch, and turn a puddle of water into a layer of ice with a thought. She can't really manipulate it beyond that. A ranged ability that Kai has is what she calls an "ice beam". This is a glowing beam that will freeze [i]anything[/i] in it's path. Which will turn anyone stupid enough to stay in the way into a Human-shaped Popsicle (A cannibal's favorite)! Of course, it doesn't have to be a beam. She can shoot it out in orbs, snowflakes, shotgun blasts, etc. The last ability that Kai has is Cyrokinetic regeneration. She's not invincible - but her ability to grow ice can be used to repair damage done in her Ice form (And her ice form alone). She can quickly repair a cracked body, or even regrow a limb.

Several of these abilities also transfer to her human form (Or don't even require that she's ice). For starters, Kai is very, very, [i]very,[/i] cold. Like, if you lick her, your god damn tongue is going to stick. She also produces that chilling aura when in human form (Not as quick or extreme, but it can make a room unbearable for other people should she stay in it long enough). Which is contained by the heavy winter clothing she wears. Kai, while in human form, can freeze objects, create ice, drop the area's temperature, and create ice-beams. Basically, she can do everything that doesn't involve turning into ice.

There's also one aspect to her power that's so "no-shit" that it's not even worth noting.

[color=Cornflowerblue][b]Limits:[/b][/color]
[indent]The amount of ice Kai can create is limited by her stamina and the moisture of the area. Dryer areas make it much harder for her to produce her ice. Kai's regenerative abilities don't exactly extend to her human form. Now, if you let me explain, the girl can only really regenerate the wounds that she gets [i]in[/i] Ice-form. If she's injured while human, then turns into ice, then she can't regenerate that since it'll be her "default". And if she does transform back while damaged, the wound will transfer to her human form. And she won't be able to switch and regenerate it. So, if she turns human while missing an arm, she'll need to visit the arm store.[/indent]

[color=Cornflowerblue][b]Weaknesses/Drawbacks:[/b][/color]
[indent]Heat is the primary counter to Kai's ability. It interferes with her abilities, and weakens her. It's her kryptonite, shall we say. Though, it's going to take a really hot flame to melt Kai into a puddle (You can pour lava on a block of ice, and it doesn't immediately vanish!). The other weakness is, pun totally intended, that Kai is the Mighty Glacier. She has a lot of defensive abilities, and strength, but she's really lacking in speed, and agility. She won't be able to really dodge attacks - more of block them. Nor will be she able to pursue an opponent as her top speed is someone's jog. Kai isn't invulnerable in her ice form, and obviously, strong attacks can break her. While she can repair the damage, her organs are still a viable weakspot. She can't regenerate her organs, and damaging them is a great way to murder Kai.[/indent]

[*]It's very hard to gauge Kai's personality since she is a very quiet girl. She isn't the type that talks too much, and has that strong-silent type vibe. However, she isn't introverted (Many people mistake her silence for it), she's quite comfortable around other people, and has been described as charming. Another side to Kai's personality is that she's very laid back - lazy even. It's not unexpected to find her sleeping, or lounging somewhere.
