To ensure that his oath won't go down in vain, he has studied the behavior of several Pokemon throughout his lifetime. His studying and scrutiny of these Pokemon have not only given him a better understanding of Pokemon, but a better understanding of life and his hardships in it. Anthony Cykes, since he was 5, aspired to be the very best, just like his father, who was also a Pokemon Trainer.
