Just for the record, it's 'Bonaparte', not 'Van Bonaparte'. I can understand why people might make this misconception, since 'van _____' or 'von _____' are surnames in some countries, but 'Van' actually happens to be his middle name. To answer your question, yes they do -- the world's pretty close to the real world 2012 outside of all the hidden contemporary fantasy stuff, and the fact that certain figures who didn't exist in real life 2012 (such as Bonaparte) exist in this world and subsequently would have an impact on the flow of history and society. Then again, you're joking, so I don't know why I'm answering this. Probably because I can.
