[indent]While Kenna's physical size varies at times, her natural form gives her a lithe and reasonably fit form, nothing too out of the ordinary for a normal girl her age. She generally likes to dress warmly in loose-fitting, fireproofed clothes that give her room to move, with a special preference for scarves and wearing flowers in her hair. Her skin has a fibrous texture to it and is a pleasant shade of green, with her hair being made of the same material in a slightly darker shade and generally a messy style. Her facial features have a simplistic, almost insectoid look to them, with solid black eyes, no nostrils, and fang-like protrusions on her mouth. Otherwise she is entirely humanoid, and was clearly a regular everyday human at some point in the past.[/indent]

[indent]Outlandish, energetic, and entirely unpredictable, Kenna's head was in the clouds long before she came to the Promise. Even among the oddball world of metahumans she operates on a different wavelength then most others, and has a reputation for being zany, mischievous, unconventional, and absolutely loving every minute of it. Underneath that, Kenna is surprisingly good-natured and kind to others, an eternal optimist, and while her way of thinking is different she's much more intelligent then she lets on. If you can get past her odd appearance and personality, you'll find someone who's genuinely caring and will do anything to help out her friends, whether they want her help or not. She does, however, tend to get sulky and gloomy when she hasn't had enough water or sunlight, moreso then people with regular physiologists. Kenna is also being treated for Pyrophobia, and while it's no longer as debilitating she's still deeply uncomfortable around open flames and is equally uncomfortable with sharing that fact with anyone.

[indent]Born in Iverness, Scotland, Kenna showed a booming intellect from a young age and her parents, Murphy and Jane Sterling, could not have been prouder. Her childhood was a comfortable and happy one, and while she was proud of her mother for being an influential political figure, she knew from a young age that she wanted to be a doctor like her father. The precocious little Kenna, getting top marks in every class and charming everyone she came across, was quickly on her way to a bright future.

Then Kenna turned eleven, and her hair started to fall out. She couldn't keep solid foods down, her hair was growing back in the wrong color, and her skin slowly became pale and dried out. Her parents quickly withdrew her from school and the public as her symptoms got worse, but not before a news crew caught a glimpse of the green patches growing on her skin. The word was out; Kenna Sterling was a metahuman, which made the fact that her mother built her political career on an anti-metahuman platform more then a little awkward. As the height of the political turmoil that erupted, and while Kenna was left at home painfully mutating into a plant girl, one of her mother's supporters planted a bomb under her parent's car and left her an orphan. 

When the Academy program stepped in, having been delayed by the political machinations going on in Iverness, there was some consideration given to neutralizing Kenna, given her classification as a Super-System Bio and the trauma she went through, but they were convinced to accept her as a student at the behest of one of their most prominent biomedical researchers; Hamish Sterling, her father's twin brother. Accepted into the Academy system on Dr. Sterling's recommendation, Kenna completed her transformation and rediscovered her desire to become a doctor thanks to her uncle, studying medicine and metahuman biology and even making some new friends along the way. Her excellence in academics was enough for the Academy program to overlook her oddball personality when it came time to consider her for enrollment in the Promise, and when she was sent the offer she accepted without question. 

[i]Now entering her third year in the Academy, Kenna has since become fast friends with fellow nerds/scientists Olin and Winzer, and is working towards completing her medical doctorate so she can teach medicine in the Academy program. In addition to being a model student, she works as Dr. Olin's teaching assistant in his meta-biology courses and is the current president of Promise's Student Orientation Association.[/i]

[indent]Kenna's metahuman abilities have morphed her into what can best be described as a 'plant person', though the technical term would be "Plantae Physiology". Her entire body is composed of plant cells, giving her a distinctive 'leafy' appearance as well as several plant-like traits. Most notably, Kenna possesses the ability to rapidly alter her body, from extending her limbs to gaining mass and muscle at will. She also heals incredibly fast from minor to moderate wounds, and can fully recover from normally debilitating injuries, able to reattach parts of herself in seconds and regrowing limbs in a matter of hours (the amputated limbs tend to wither and die on their own if they don't get reattached). It has even been theorized (though never tested) that if she lost her body below the neck, she would be able to regrow herself in at least 24 hours. Kenna also functions as a power anchor thanks to her radically altered anatomy, and for the same reason she is effectively immune to Domination class powers. 

As a side note, her diet consists of water, raw meat, and pretty much anything with sugar, and she doesn't need to sleep, instead preferring to meditate in sunlight.[/indent]

[indent]Plants do not make good armor. While Kenna's ability to increase in size and strength is impressive, her endurance is only slightly above average. She can take a few hits, but her only real defensive option is relying on her rapid healing from damage to win the day. She CAN harden her skin to a consistency like petrified wood, but it's uncomfortable and often painful so she doesn't like to rely on it. Her powers are also limited and even diminished if she's kept away from sunlight or water for too long.

As for weaknesses, the only one she really has trouble with is fire. Being a plant girl she is incredibly vulnerable to fire, and its the one injury that's slow and difficult for her to recover from, though she can still recover fully. In addition, if her head was destroyed it would take far longer then normal for it to grow back, with recovery taking days or even weeks (though this has obviously not been tested).[/indent]

[indent][i]Allegedly, Kenna is the only one who knows the full details of the bet between Winzer and Olin, and will just giggle when she is asked about it. Judging by the lack of a tattoo, she either refereed the bet or she won it.[/i]
